An interstitium‐mimicking membrane combines three‐dimensional alveolar geometry, high pore interconnectivity, and mechanical compliance to overcome transport limitations of conventional lung‐on‐chip barriers. The resulting platform supports physiologic aerosol transport, quantitative analysis of cross‐barrier particle movement, and reveals divergent ...

Electrospun Wood‐Derived Biopolymers as Electrodes in Electrochemical Energy Storage Technologies
Electrospinning transforms wood‐derived cellulose and lignin into architecturally defined, binder‐free carbon electrodes with tuneable porosity and functionality. This review shows how fibre design enables decoupled charge and mass transport, enhancing performance across battery systems, while identifying key challenges in spinnability, scalability ...

Ammonia removal from water: The comparison between using the wind speed and agitation method [PDF]
Ammonia removal from skim latex is an essential step in skim block production process. In general, skim latex contains about 0.4% ammonia by weight of skim latex and needs to be reduced in order to minimize acid usage during rubber coagulation step.

Easy handling and low unit N cost make prilled urea (46-0-0) a popular fertilizer. While incomplete recovery of granular urea applications by turfgrass is documented, field evaluations of NH3 volatilization mitigation by coatings or bioinhibitor ...

Survey evidence suggests that managers voluntarily disclose information, particularly earnings guidance, with an aim toward dampening share price volatility. Yet, consultants and influential institutions advise against providing guidance — citing fears of litigation and market penalties associated with missed earnings targets, as well as a lack of ...

Controlling Proton Migration in Oxide Heterostructures by Interfacial Chemical Potential Mismatch
Interfacial reconstruction of the proton chemical potential enables control of proton migration in oxide heterostructures. In TiO2/VO2 heterostructures, we found that increasing the TiO2 capping layer thickness by only several nanometers modulates the thermal stability of protons inserted into VO2.

Volatilization of Trichloroethylene from Shallow Subsurface Environments: Trees and Soil [PDF]
Results from two previous studies conducted at Operable Unit 2 (OU2) of Hill Air Force Base, Utah indicate that the phytovolatilization (volatilization from leaves and trunk) of TCE by indigenous trees as well as soil surface flux may play a significant ...
