High‐Current‐Density Acidic CO2 Electroreduction to Formic Acid Enabled by Multiscale Microenvironment Regulation Over Defect‐Rich Sn/SnOx

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acidic CO2 electroreduction to formic acid is enabled by integrating mixed Sn/SnOx nanoclusters, K+‐regulated interfacial solvation, and Janus wettability. Coordinated control of active sites, interfacial water, and gas‐liquid transport suppresses hydrogen evolution and delivers approximately 85% HCOOH Faradaic efficiency at 400 mA cm−2.

CRISPR and Gene Augmentation Rescue Trabecular Meshwork Dysfunction in iPSC Models of Lowe Syndrome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By modeling Lowe syndrome using patient‐derived iPSCs, this study establishes a human disease model that faithfully recapitulates OCRL deficiency‐associated ciliary and cytoskeletal defects. The model enables evaluation of both mutation‐agnostic DNA augmentation and CRISPR‐mediated mutation correction strategies, both of which restore OCRL function and

Macrophage Dab1 Links Early Hypoxia to Adaptive Angiogenesis to Drive Peripheral Nerve Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic diagram illustrating the Dab1‐linked hypoxia signaling pathway that accelerates angiogenesis and consequent nerve regeneration. Following PNI, a hypoxic microenvironment develops. Hypoxia induces macrophage Dab1 phosphorylation, resulting in NHE‐1 upregulation, HIF‐1α stabilization, and VEGF‐A expression. This cascade promotes angiogenesis in

SAV1 in Cooperation With FKBP52 Participates in Implantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The MST‐SAV1 complex modulates FKBP52 phosphorylation to fine‐tune PR activity, ensuring timely uterine transition to receptivity under estrogen signaling for implantation. Stromal SAV1 scaffolds MST1/2‐mediated FKBP52 phosphorylation via noncanonical Hippo to promote PR activity.

Dual‐Targeted Biomimetic MoSe2 Nanozymes for Enhancing Peri‐Implant Soft Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐targeting biomimetic nanozyme, MoSe2@SPMM, selectively targets Staphylococcus aureus and oxidatively stressed macrophages. Near‐infrared activation couples contact‐enhanced photothermal bacterial eradication with reactive oxygen species scavenging to disrupt the pathogenic–immunological amplification loop.

Temporal Trajectories of the Tau Aggregate Interactome Reveal Stage‐Specific Vulnerabilities in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tau populations with different aggregation states associate with distinct sets of proteins in the Alzheimer's disease brain. Proteomic discovery combined with single‐molecule analysis in neurons reveals dynamic associations involving proteostasis, metabolism and RNA biology.

Design Principles of Electrocatalysts for Industrial‐Scale Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This Review distills electrocatalyst design for industrial‐scale water electrolysis into integrated principles linking active‐site engineering, phase and lattice modulation, interfacial microenvironment regulation and mass‐transport control. By connecting catalyst families with HER/OER mechanisms and practical operating demands, it outlines pathways ...

Volcanic Radiative Forcing From 1979 to 2015 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research D: Atmospheres, 2018
AbstractUsing volcanic sulfur dioxide emissions in an aerosol‐climate model, we derive a time series of global‐mean volcanic effective radiative forcing (ERF) from 1979 to 2015. For 2005–2015, we calculate a global multiannual mean volcanic ERF of −0.08 W/m2 relative to the volcanically quiescent 1999–2002 period, due to a high frequency of small‐to ...

The Arctic Polar Vortex Response to Volcanic Forcing of Different Strengths [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research D: Atmospheres, 2021
AbstractTropical volcanic eruptions injecting sulfur into the stratosphere are assumed to not only scatter radiation and cool Earth's surface but also alter atmospheric circulation and in particular to strengthen the stratospheric polar vortex in boreal winter.

Volcanic climate forcing preceding the inception of the Younger Dryas: Implications for tracing the Laacher See eruption [PDF]

open access: yesQuaternary Science Reviews, 2021
Climatic warming from the last glacial maximum to the current interglacial period was punctuated by a similar to 1300 years long cold period, commonly referred to as the Younger Dryas (YD).
