Mesenchymal Stem Cells‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles Mimetics as Osteoinductive Mediators for Bone Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanoghosts (MSC‐NGs) mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) in structure and physicochemical properties but can be synthesized at more translatable yields. As osteogenic agents, MSC‐NGs demonstrate superior outcomes compared to MSC‐EVs.

Electric Pulse Regulated MXene Based Nanozymes for Integrative Bioelectricity Immuno‐Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXenzyme‐mediated bioelectricity cancer therapy (MXenzyme‐BECT) enhances cancer cell death through irreversible depolarization, ion channel disruption, ROS generation, and immunogenic cell death. Computational simulations reveal the electrical mechanisms by which MXenzyme acts on single cells and support to predict treatment parameters. Next‐generation

Pyroclastic density currents associated with the 2008-2009 eruption of Chaitén Volcano (Chile): Forest disturbances, deposits, and dynamics

open access: yesAndean Geology, 2013
Explosive activity at Chaitén Volcano in May 2008 and subsequent dome collapses over the following nine months triggered multiple, small-volume pyroclastic density currents (PDCs).

Making Photoresponsive Metal–Organic Frameworks an Effective Class of Heterogeneous Photocatalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes photoresponsive MOFs for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their capacity to enhance light harvesting, charge transfer, and surface reactions. While existing studies provide foundational insights, emerging characterization techniques enable a deeper understanding of photoresponsive MOFs.

Ground deformation source model at Kuchinoerabu-jima volcano during 2006–2014 as revealed by campaign GPS observation

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2017
We analyzed campaign Global Positioning System observation data in Kuchinoerabu-jima during 2006–2014. Most benchmarks located around Shin-dake crater showed crater-centered radial horizontal displacements.

Photothermal Hydrogel with Mn3O4 Nanoparticles Alleviates Intervertebral Disc Degeneration by Scavenging ROS and Regulating Extracellular Matrix Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The MPTT‐nanozyme‐hydrogel system (Mn3O4@ChS‐HA) provides a multifunctional therapeutic strategy for intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD), effectively targeting oxidative stress and enhancing AF repair by restoring extracellular matrix (ECM) and redox homeostasis.

Mofette Vegetation as an Indicator for Geogenic CO2 Emission: A Case Study on the Banks of the Laacher See Volcano, Vulkaneifel, Germany

open access: yesGeofluids, 2019
A geogenic CO2 emitting site (mofette U1) at the banks of the Laacher See, Eifel Mountains, was chosen to study the relationship between heavy postvolcanic soil degassing and vegetation during spring season.
