Fine slab structure and mechanism of deep earthquakes beneath central Japan
Deep-focus earthquakes (> 300 km depth) are widely distributed in global subduction zones, but their mechanism is still debated because the fine structure of deep subducting slabs is unclear.

Earthquake Moment Magnitudes from Peak Ground Displacements and Synthetic Green's Functions
We suggest an approach employing full waveforms from synthetic seismograms to estimate moment magnitudes and their uncertainties from peak amplitudes. The new method is theoretically derived.

What if human skin could remain fully alive and functional outside the body for weeks? A New Alternative Method (NAM) based on a vascularized full‐thickness skin microphysiological system achieves precisely this, preserving native vasculature, resident immunity, and metabolic activity for up to three weeks, while faithfully recapitulating radiation ...

Educational Activity At Ingv Centres To Mitigate Risk Of Vulcano And Stromboli Active Volcanoes (Aeolian Islands, Italy) [PDF]
Vulcano and Stromboli are the most active volcanoes of the Aeolian Islands. Vulcano is in a quiescent stage since the eruption of 1888-90, but in the last decades it underwent several crises with huge increase in the gas output and temperature of crater

Macrophage membrane‐coated Cu/Zn‐MOF nanozyme microneedles (MNs) reprogram the diabetic wound microenvironment through localized, minimally invasive delivery. By suppressing M1‐like macrophage activation while promoting extracellular matrix deposition and angiogenesis, this biomimetic platform accelerates diabetic wound repair.
