Electrical breakdown and volt-ampere characteristics in water vapor in microgaps

EPL (Europhysics Letters), 2012
Although the physics for breakdown initiation in gases in generally well understood, the process of breakdown initiation in liquids is much less clear. A large number of experimental data on the breakdown in water revealed that the breakdown voltage in water is of the same magnitude as in the case of gases.

[Effect of devascularization on volt-ampere characteristic of acupoints].

Zhongguo zhen jiu = Chinese acupuncture & moxibustion, 2013
To observe the effects of forearms devascularization on the volt-ampere (V-A) characteristics of Neiguan (PC 6) and Taiyuan (LU 9) so as to investigate the relationship among functions of acupoints, qi and blood in human body and V-A characteristics of acupoints.Either forearms of 23 healthy volunteers were devascularized and the changes of V-A ...

Investigation of the volt-ampere characteristics of an optically controlled avalanche transistor

Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics, 1971
1. The possibility of effective optical control of the shape of volt-ampere characteristics of avalanche transistors has been demonstrated. 2. Test samples of avalanche phototransistors have been fabricated and investigated. The parameters of the investigated samples are in good agreement with the calculated values. 3.

Electrogradient EMF and volt-ampere characteristics of inhomogeneous systems

Soviet Physics Journal, 1978
This paper studies the manifestation of electrogradient effects in the shape of the voltampere characteristics (VAC) of inhomogeneous conducting sandwich structures of the SSS and MSM types (S stands for n-type semiconductor, and M for metal) during the passage of a current perpendicular to the interfaces between the materials.

Subharmonic structure of the volt-ampere characteristics of superconducting tunnel junctions

Soviet Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1975
Amplitude beats of the subharmonics have been observed in the dV / dI— V characteristics of Pb–PbOx–Pb junctions. The reduction of the temperature to 0.75 °K during the measurements provided the basis for assuming that the beats are caused by interference between a series of minima (eV=2Δn−δV) shifted along the V axis and an unshifted series of odd ...

High-precision measuring device of volt-ampere characteristics

Radioengineering
Formulation of the problem. In this paper, the application of the Hall sensor in measuring technology is considered. The hall sensor is used as a measuring element of the volt-ampere characteristics of electrical circuits based on the principle of measuring the electromagnetic field in the area of the conductive pattern on the board in the range of 0 ...

Asymmetry of Volt-Ampere characteristics in poled polycrystalline Ferroelectrics-Semiconductors

Ferroelectrics, 1995
In poled polycrystalline ferroelectrics-semiconductors with intergranular potential barriers the voltampere characteristics are found out to be asymmetric, the current density along the polarization direction being smaller than that in the opposite direction. The degree of asymmetry increases with measuring field.

Test Set for Displaying the Volt-Ampere Characteristics of Tunnel Diodes

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1960
A test set is described which permits the display of the V-I (volt-ampere) characteristic of a tunnel diode on an oscilloscope. The circuit instabilities which usually exist when a negative resistance device is tested on a V-I curve tracer are suppressed in the unit described. The principles of design, construction, and operation are presented.
