Experimental and Computational Elucidation of Protic Redox Reaction Mechanisms
Comparing quantum chemical calculations of redox potentials against experimental data provides a powerful and cost‐effective method for validating proposed protic redox reaction mechanisms, provided that computational and experimental uncertainties are robustly quantified. Molecular design of redox‐active species for applications such as redox sensing,

Humanin Mitigates Aβ‐Induced Retinal Pigment Epithelium Injury via AMPK‐Beclin1‐Dependent Mitophagy
Humanin (HN) enhanced the clearance of Aβ‐accumulated mitochondria in the RPE while preserving retinal function and RPE barrier integrity. HN activated AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK), leading to phosphorylation of ULK1 and Beclin1, which promoted the interaction between Beclin1 and Parkin and their translocation to mitochondria.

Cladding is a proven method that boosts the surface qualities of mechanical parts by applying a layer of more durable material over a base substrate. This work responds to the needs of offshore and pressure vessels sectors by focusing on cladding a super austenitic steel onto low‐carbon steel through gas tungsten arc welding.

Generalized hyperbolic model for I-V characteristic of semiconductor devices [PDF]
It is proposed to use the models of volt-ampere characteristics of semiconductor devices such as transistors and photovoltaic cells as a physically reasonable hyperbolic characteristic of the active two-pole with self-limitation of current. In this case,

A Colloidal Quantum Dot Thermistor and Bolometer
This work introduces colloidal quantum dot thermistors employing a potential barrier structure to tune the activation energy of transport and hence the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR). Upon integration with plasmonic absorbers, the CQD‐based bolometer device enables room‐temperature wavelength‐selective photodetection across the mid‐ to ...

Effect of Stirring on the Defect-Free Filling of Deep Through-Silicon Vias
Through-silicon-via (TSV) is an advanced 3D electronic integration technology. In order to achieve the defect-free filling of deep TSV, forced convection is commonly applied during TSV filling process.

The volt-ampere characteristics of different diodes and zener diodes are obtained experimentally, and they differ significantly from experience to experience. It is unclear how to properly substantiate the reason for such differences. In this regard, a problem arose in developing the theoretical foundations for the production of this type of equipment ...

Operando photoluminescence image sequences acquired during light‐cycling are used to predict open‐circuit‐voltage transients and Grad‐CAM attribution maps with a CNN‐LSTM‐attention model. Compared with Voc‐luminescence reciprocity‐based calculations, the AI model substantially reduces Voc prediction error, especially in the early‐time metastable regime,
