Partial Discharge Behaviour of a Protrusion in Gas-Insulated Systems under DC Voltage Stress

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
High reliability, independence from environmental conditions, and the compact design of gas-insulated systems will lead to a wide application in future high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems.

Assessment of Diagnostic Capabilities of Methods of Recreation of Voltage Fluctuations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the IEEE 18th International Conference on Compatibility, Power Electronics and Power Engineering (CPE-POWERENG), 24-26 June 2024, Gdynia, Poland
Voltage fluctuations are one of the most common low-frequency disturbances of power quality. Diagnostics of these disturbances are a complex process because voltage fluctuations affect different loads in different ways. Therefore, there is no measure of power quality that allows for the complementary assessment of severity of this disturbance, allow ...

Impact of harmonic voltage distortion on the voltage sag behavior of adjustable speed drives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The behavior of adjustable speed drives under voltage sag conditions and supplied form non-sinusoidal voltage waveforms has received little attention in recent years.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae amino acid transporter Lyp1 has a broad substrate spectrum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Yeast Amino acid Transporter family members mediate the import of amino acids, ranging from substrate specialists to generalists. Here, we show that the specialist transporter, Lyp1, has a broader substrate spectrum than previously described, with affinity constants spanning from micromolar to millimolar.

Combined electrical transport and capacitance spectroscopy of a ${\mathrm{MoS_2-LiNbO_3}}$ field effect transistor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We have measured both the current-voltage ($I_\mathrm{SD}$-$V_\mathrm{GS}$) and capacitance-voltage ($C$-$V_\mathrm{GS}$) characteristics of a $\mathrm{MoS_2-LiNbO_3}$ field effect transistor.

The cytoskeletal control of B cell receptor and integrin signaling in normal B cells and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Distribution Optimization Method for Power Environment-Friendly Mixed Insulation Gas

open access: yesZhongguo dianli
The state-of-art cost of environmental-friendly SF6/CF4 mixed insulating gas of GIS equipment in the power system is relatively high. In order to ensure its insulation and arc extinguishing performance, SF6 gas is overfilled on site, which is not in line

Universal photocurrent-voltage characteristics of dye sensitized nanocrystalline TiO$_2$ photoelectrochemical cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We propose a new linearizable model for the nonlinear photocurrent-voltage characteristics of nanocrystalline TiO$_2$ dye sensitized solar cells based on first principles and report predicted values for fill factors. Upon renormalization diverse experimental photocurrent-voltage data collapse onto a single universal function.

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.
