Soft Switched Multi-Output Flyback Converter with Voltage Doubler

open access: yes, 2015
A novel multi-output voltage doubler circuit with resonant switching technique is proposed in this paper. The resonant topology in the primary side of the flyback transformer switches the device either at zero voltage or current thus optimizing the ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Switching noise reduction techniques for switched-capacitor voltage doubler

open access: yes, 2003
Switching noise reduction techniques for the integrated switched-capacitor cross-coupled voltage doublers, which using break-before-make mechanism and the increase of resistance of the serial power transistors during turn-on, are presented in this paper.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

A High Voltage Ratio and Low Ripple Interleaved DC-DC Converter for Fuel Cell Applications

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2012
This paper proposes a high voltage ratio and low ripple interleaved boost DC-DC converter, which can be used to reduce the output voltage ripple. This converter transfers the low DC voltage of fuel cell to high DC voltage in DC link. The structure of the

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Frequency-Controlled Current-Fed Resonant Converter with No Input Ripple Current

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
This paper studies a frequency-controlled current-fed resonant circuit. The adopted direct current (DC)-to-DC converter contains two boost circuits and a resonant circuit on the primary side. First, two boost circuits are connected in parallel to achieve

Input-voltage feedforward (IVFF) circuit minimizing current stress of voltage-doubler rectified asymmetrical half-bridge (VDRAHB) converter

open access: yes, 2008
A new input-voltage feedforward (IVFF) circuit for a voltage-doubler rectified asymmetrical half-bridge (VDRAHB) converter is proposed in this letter. The proposed circuit regulates output voltage not by reducing duty ratio but by increasing switching ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

High Output Voltage Based Multiphase Step-Up DC-DC Converter Topology with Voltage Doubler Rectifiers

open access: yes, 2013
High Output Voltage Based Multiphase Step-Up DC-DC Converter topology with voltage doubler rectifiers is presented in this paper. High output voltage is obtained due to the series combination of voltage doubler rectifiers on the secondary side of high ...
