Fully Soft-Switched Single-Switch High Gain DC–DC Topology Based on Coupled Inductor
High-gain DC/DC converters play critical roles in most renewable-energy applications such as wind and solar power. A significant number of the high-gain converters are utilized to boost voltage gain by employing an excessive duty cycle and low turn ratio.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

SiPM Operational Experience in Outer HCAL in CMS
The CMS Outer Hadron Calorimeter (HO) is the first large-scale hadron collider detector to use Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs). To build the system we installed and characterized 3000 SiPMs of which 1656 channels of SiPMs with 40MHz readout have ...

Output-capacitorless low-dropout regulator for power management applications [PDF]
This article aims to present the design of a 4.5-V, 450-mA low drop-out (LDO) voltage linear regulator based on a two-stage cascoded operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) as error amplifier.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

A Modified Bipolar Translinear Cell with Improved Linear Range and Its Applications [PDF]
This paper presents a technique to extend the linear input voltage range of a sinh mixed translinear cell proposed by Fabre [1]. This technique extends the linear operation range of the circuit by inserting common-anode-connected pairs into the mixed ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Self-tuning bandpass filter [PDF]
An electronic filter is described which simultaneously maintains a constant bandwidth and a constant center frequency gain as the input signal frequency varies, and remains self-tuning to that center frequency over a decade range.
