Harmonics in high voltage networks
8th International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power. Proceedings (Cat. No.98EX227), 2002The paper presents the results of studies in the area of harmonics in HV networks that were obtained at the Siberian Energy Institute. The studies have been performed based on the method of harmonic distortion powers that was developed at the Siberian Energy Institute.

Harmonic voltage measurements in the low voltage distribution grid
2015 16th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE), 2015The supply territory of the company E.ON Distribution in the Czech Republic (run by the company E.ON Czech Republic) accounts for approximately 1.5 million customers. A problem was detected with harmonic voltage in approximately 14% low voltage (LV) distribution grids [6] without the differentiation of harmonic order.

Harmonic measurements: current and voltage transducers
199 IEEE Power Engineering Society Summer Meeting. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36364), 2003An overview of the development of special current and voltage transducers at the National Research Council of Canada for accurate measurements of harmonics in power systems will be presented. The transducers include two-stage and electronically-aided instrument transformers, openable-core AC and AC/DC current transformers, multi-stage clamp-on current ...

Smart Detection of Voltage Dips Using Voltage Harmonics Footprint
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2018In order to enable voltage ride-through operation, fast and reliable voltage dips detection is necessary. It has been noticed by the analysis of a huge number of measurement results recorded in-field, in laboratory, and obtained by simulation that the voltage dips may be characterized by specific low-order voltage harmonics pattern, which appears at ...

A shunt active harmonic filter based on a voltage detection method for harmonic voltage control
2004 IEEE International Conference on Electric Utility Deregulation, Restructuring and Power Technologies. Proceedings, 2004With the proliferation of electronic equipment in modern buildings, harmonics in low voltage distribution systems have received a great deal of attention. This paper discusses harmonic voltage control using a shunt active harmonic filter based on a voltage detection method. The control method is discussed first.

Six-pulse converter atypical harmonics caused by second harmonic voltage
10th International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power. Proceedings (Cat. No.02EX630), 2004This paper reports the orders and levels of atypical harmonics caused by the second harmonic voltage. Two basic types of 6-pulse converters are discussed: The L-filter (current source rectifier) and the C-filter (voltage source rectifier). The response of these converters to symmetrical nonsinusoidal voltage distorted by positive- and negative-sequence

Superposition of current and voltage harmonics
2018 ELEKTRO, 2018This paper deals with power quality that is aimed on voltage and current harmonics. The analysis describes the household appliances producing the harmonic interference, because they consist of semiconductor components. The next reason is that a large number of household appliances are operated in the same time.

Harmonics in voltage-source PWM inverters
International Journal of Electronics, 1981he performance of an induction motor fed by PWM inverters is mainly determined by the harmonic contents of the output voltage. This paper presents a method of numerically calculating the harmonics in the output voltage waveform. Equal pulse-width modulation and siunsoidal PWM are studied.

Harmonic study in electromagnetic voltage transformers
2012 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2012Ferroresonance is a complex electrical phenomenon which may cause overvoltages and overcurrents in electrical power system disturbing the system reliability and continuous safe operating. The ability to predict or confirm ferroresonance depends primarily on the accuracy of the voltage transformer model used in the computer simulation. In this study, at
