Implicit current DC-DC Digital Voltage-Mode Control
2014 IEEE 23rd International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2014Analog circuits have been dominating the switching power supplies control due to simplicity and low implementation cost. However, digital control presents important advantages to meet the increasingly stringent future processors power requirements. This study focuses in the fact that, sensing only a buck converter output voltage, a digital control can ...

Control of high common mode voltage during transthoracic defibrillation
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1995A high common mode voltage (Vcm) relative to earth ground is produced on the myocardium during the delivery of a defibrillator pulse and can generate a differential error signal when potential gradients are recorded with bipolar electrodes and isolation amplifiers.

Sliding-Mode Voltage Control of Dynamic Power Supply for CCM
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2019This paper presents a novel means of controlling a dynamic power supply in continuous conduction mode via sliding-mode voltage control technique. Previous work has discussed the design and implementation of a high-efficiency dynamic power supply based on an asynchronous buck converter in open-loop operation.

Design considerations on current-mode and voltage-mode control methods for half-bridge converters
Proceedings of APEC 97 - Applied Power Electronics Conference, 2002The instability of the input capacitors midpoint voltage in the half-bridge topology observed using peak current-mode control is investigated and a simple solution, which does not require any modification of the converter power stage, is proposed. As far as voltage-mode control is concerned, a novel multi-loop control allows synthesis of the desired ...

The closed loop characteristics of a boost power converter were examined for different control schemes. The H/sup /spl infin// control was found to exhibit low output impedance over the widest frequency range. The major disadvantage of this control scheme, as compared to the classic ones, is possible static error due to the lower open loop gain at low ...

Sliding mode pulse width modulation for voltage control of a Voltage Source Inverter
2015 23rd Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering, 2015In this paper, a Sliding Mode Control (SMC) based Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) method is proposed for the voltage control of a three-phase Voltage Source Inverter (VSI). This variable frequency PWM method is designed such that the average of the outputs, i.e., the three-phase voltage of VSI and the neutral point voltage of a star connected load, track ...

MODE CONTROL AND OPERATING VOLTAGES OF INTERDIGITAL MAGNETRONS
1953Abstract : Studies were made controlling the frequencies of all the modes up to the second order, and investigations were made to study the electronic operation of first- and second-order modes. Experiments with operating tubes show that under given conditons, the first- and second-order modes can operate at more than 1 voltage.

Controlling common-mode voltages in multilevel inverters
2008This paper proposes a novel method based on pulse width modulation techniques to reduce and control the common-mode voltage in three-phase multilevel inverters. Besides controlling the common-mode voltage, this method is capable of controlling capacitors voltages and load currents with low switching losses and harmonic contents.
