Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A Multiobjective Voltage Unbalance Factor for PV Hosting Capacity with Probabilistic ZIP Load Models [PDF]
This paper proposes a multiobjective voltage unbalance factor to estimate single-phase photovoltaic (PV) hosting capacity in 3-phase residential networks. This factor is derived from a combination of various components, including zero and negative-sequence voltage unbalance factors associated with the inherent variability and uncertainty of both loads ...

Analysis of Power Quality parameters at comparing UPS of different Technologies
Commercial and industrial consumers are vulnerable to disturbances in distribution networks. One solution to this is using the Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). However, this may have other impacts on the power system. This document describes the main

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Three‐phase electric vehicle (EV) battery chargers are expected to not impact the unbalance of distribution networks; moreover, using active power factor correction topologies they are expected to behave like resistive loads not affecting the system ...

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Voltage unbalance (VU) in residential distribution networks (RDNs) is mainly caused by load unbalance in three phases, resulting from network configuration and load-variations.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an
