Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Detection of dairy fouling by cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry [PDF]

open access: yesFood Science & Nutrition, 2020
AbstractFouling in food processing environment can cause the increase of production costs due to additional cleaning steps and risk of contamination of food products. There is a demand to introduce advanced techniques to detect fouling in food processing equipment.

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Polarizable Vanadium Dipoles Promote Water Dissociation on Vanadium‐Based Metal Organic Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polarization of unpaired V 3d electrons weakens the H─O bond to improve water dissociation by the dual Vδ+:O─H and Pλ−:H─O coupling hydrogen bonds formation and relaxation. P@V‐MOF electrocatalyst shows low overpotentials (94 mV in acid, 178 mV in neutral, and 77 mV in alkaline solutions) with excellent stability for effective overall water ...

Cyclic Voltammetry of Auranofin [PDF]

open access: yesMetal-Based Drugs, 1999
The oxidative behavior of Auranofin, 2,3,4,6‐tetra‐O‐acetyl‐1‐thio‐β ‐D‐glucopyranosato‐ S(triethylphosphine)gold(I), was investigated by using cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 0.1 M Bu4NPF6/CH2Cl2 and 0.1 M Bu4NPF4/CH2Cl2 solutions using Pt working and auxiliary electrodes and a Ag/AgCI reference.

Support‐Controlled Reaction Pathways via Dynamic Sulfur‐Mediated Interfaces for Selective Urea Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...

Ion Exchange Voltammetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This chapter focuses on recent advances in the field of ion-exchanger-based voltammetric sensors, whose widespread use has given rise to a new electroanalytical technique named ion exchange voltammetry (IEV). The chapter starts with a brief historical overview and a short introduction to voltammetric methods of analysis, followed by the presentation of

Bismuth-coated screen-printed carbon electrodes for quantitative voltammetric determination of formaldehyde in urotropin

open access: yesChimica Techno Acta
For the first time, a bismuth-modified electrode is used for the quantitative voltammetric determination of formaldehyde (FA) in urotropin. The well-established method of forming formaldehyde hydrazone (FAH) in the presence of hydrazine sulphate (HRZ ...

Hierarchical Primary‐Secondary Coordination Synchronizes Ion Flux and Sulfur Redox in Solid Polymer Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hierarchical coordination engineering redistributes Li+ from anion‐dominated pairing toward polymer‐mediated binding. Strong primary sites promote salt dissociation, while distributed secondary sites sustain dynamic hopping pathways. This coordination landscape couples ion flux with polysulfide conversion, suppresses transport‐conversion decoupling ...

Semiconducting Polymers Post‐Functionalized With Ureido‐Pyrimidinone for Robust Stretchable Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The design of intrinsically robust stretchable semiconducting polymers was achieved through OTBS‐mediated post‐functionalization of PDPP2T side chains with UPy units, generating dual hydrogen‐bonding motifs comprising weaker urethane linkages and strong quadruple UPy interactions along the long alkyl side chain, which is crucial for achieving desirable
