Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

Exercise stroke volume relative to plasma-volume expansion
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1988The effects of plasma-volume (PV) expansion on stroke volume (SV) (CO2 rebreathing) during submaximal exercise were determined. Intravenous infusion of 403 +/- 21 ml of a 6% dextran solution before exercise in the upright position increased SV 11% (i.e., 130 +/- 6 to 144 +/- 5 ml; P less than 0.05) in untrained males (n = 7). Further PV expansion (i.e.

The renal response to volume expansion
Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, 1968The renal response to expansion of the extracellular fluid volume by infusion of a blood substitute is described as including increased glomerular filtration rate, increased renal plasma flow, natriuresis, and diuresis. The diuresis, initially accounted for by an increased tubular solute load, was often associated with a delayed decrease in tubular ...

Unruptured aneurysms and postoperative volume expansion
Journal of Neurosurgery, 1992✓ After a ruptured aneurysm has been clipped in patients with multiple aneurysms, the question often arises whether to use volume expansion and/or hypertensive treatment to prevent delayed cerebral ischemia (vasospasm). There is understandable concern regarding the possible rupture of unprotected aneurysms under additional hemodynamic stress.

Plasma Volume Expansion in Early Pregnancy
Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2001To determine the time course of plasma volume expansion in early pregnancy. We prospectively measured plasma volume by Evans blue dye dilution during the menstrual (cycle day 2--3), follicular (cycle day 9--10), and luteal phases (cycle day urinary leutinizing hormone [LH] surge plus 9--10) of the menstrual cycle and at three additional time points (LH ...
