Psychosocial characteristics of blood donors influence their voluntary non-medical lapse [PDF]
Background: Approximately 10% of Dutch donors lapse yearly. Common reasons are non-voluntary medical issues (e.g., low Hemoglobin), reaching the upper age limit, and voluntary (e.g., own request, non-response).

Perceived Time Shapes Physical Fatigue Accumulation and Its Neural Oscillatory Correlates
Can a clock change the course of physical fatigue? By covertly manipulating the clock calibration during repeated isometric contractions, we showed that perceived time shapes fatigue accumulation and frontal oscillatory dynamics. While fatigue accumulation was only reduced when the clock was slowed down, frontal oscillatory dynamics followed perceived ...

Frequency of Rh Antigen and Phenotypes in Voluntary Blood Donors
Context Rh blood group antigens are highly immunogenic and have a propensity to produce alloantibodies in multi-transfused patients. Knowledge of antigen frequency in a population is useful in compatibility issues, population genetics studies, and ...

The CXCL5/CXCR2 axis directly inhibits ferroptosis in ICC cells by activating the NF‐κB/PTGS2 pathway. Meanwhile, the CXCL5/CXCR2 axis recruits N2 TANs, and the activated PTGS2 promotes the secretion of TNF‐α from the recruited N2 TANs via the CCL2/CCL7/CCR2 pathway, thereby activating the NF‐κB/PTGS2 axis and forming a positive feedback loop, which ...

Glucocorticoids transcriptionally activate LCN2 expression via GR nuclear translocation. Secreted LCN2 binds MMP9 to degrade skeletal muscle ECM collagen, blocks integrin‐mediated mechanotransduction, bidirectionally disrupts muscle protein homeostasis, and reveals a novel target for steroid‐induced muscle atrophy.

Electronic Chip‐Mimetic Medical Implants for Controllable Sonothermal Treatments
Inspired by the thermal effect of working electronic chips, which consist of various heterostructures, an sonothermal‐responsive platform has been developed through constructing metal‐semiconductor interface on implants. Biofilm infection and deep vein thrombosis can be successfully treated by controllable ultrasound treatments.

Hepatitis G virus (HGV) infection in voluntary and commercial blood donors in India
The prevalence of hepatitis G virus (HGV) has been determined in commercial as well as voluntary blood donors from India by detecting viral RNA genome using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay. 45 professional blood donors from

A Drug‐Gated, Modular STAb‐T Immunotherapy With External Control
Engineered STAb‐TON cells act as programmable living factories that continuously secrete inactive antibody modules, which assemble extracellularly into a functional T cell engager only upon small‐molecule administration. This externally controlled platform enables reversible, on‐demand regulation of antitumor immunity, establishing a new paradigm for ...
