Electroforming‐free TiN/SiOx/Cu/SiOx/TiN memristive devices exploit pancake‐like Cu nanoparticles embedded in a SiOx double layer to create a heterogeneous Schottky‐barrier landscape. Under bias, oxygen‐vacancy redistribution progressively lowers local barriers and recruits initially inactive Cu‐PC pathways into a parallel conduction ensemble, enabling

Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

New characterizations of Von Neumann regular rings and a conjecture of Shamsuddin [PDF]
A theorem of Utumi states that if R is a right self-injective ring such that every maximal ideal has nonzero annihilator, then R modulo the Jacobson radical J is a finite product of simple rings and is a Von Neuman regular ring. We prove two theorems and

Artificial Synaptic Device Based on Self‐Aligned c‐In2O3 TFTs With an Ultrathin MgO Interlayer
A coplanar synaptic thin‐film transistor based on crystalline In2O3 is demonstrated using a PECVD SiO2 gate insulator and an ultrathin MgO interlayer. The MgO interlayer suppresses excessive carrier density and may facilitate proton‐related interfacial polarization, resulting in stable counterclockwise hysteresis and synaptic behavior.

On countable von Neumann regular rings [PDF]
We study properties of countable von Neumann regular rings. Finite regular rings have simple homological properties since they are completely reducible (i.e., finite direct sums of full matrix rings over division rings). The same is far from being true of the countable ones. There are various examples of non-completely reducible countable regular rings,

Modeling Light‐Induced Synaptic Behavior and Visual Memory of Azopolymeric Compounds
In the framework of neuromorphic hardware it is essential to predict the evolution of the internal state of the devices mimicking synaptic functionalities to perform in‐silico modeling of specific computational tasks. Here, we provide a rate‐balance equation model to describe the synaptic‐like response of light‐actuated azopolymeric compounds and ...

On von Neumann regular rings with an automorphism
Difference fields enjoy a nice model theory; for instance, their existentially closed models get an elegant axiomatization through ACFA and provide a typical example of structures with a simple theory. Furthermore every difference ring of sequences \(F^{\mathbb Z}\) for \(F\) a finite field, with the shift automorphism \(\sigma_t ((c_i)_{i \in {\mathbb

High‐throughput screening led to the identification of 67 Z‐scheme heterojunctions (comprising 2D magnetic transition metal halides and non‐magnetic transition metal chalcogenides). For CrI3/MoTe2 and CrI3/WTe2, electronic structure analysis demonstrated that synergistic crystallographic point group and built‐in electric field effects generate a ...

WS2‐based in‐memory sensing reservoir computing integrates sensing, memory, and computation in one compact device. It achieves ∼94% N‐MNIST, ∼93% eye motion perception, and ∼89% speech recognition with ultra‐low energy (∼25.5 fJ/spike). The system shows stability at 95% humidity, endurance over 1.5M cycles, and supports synaptic plasticity, enabling ...
