Dynamic Melting of Confined Vortex Matter [PDF]
We study {\em dynamic} melting of confined vortex matter moving in disordered, mesoscopic channels by mode-locking experiments. The dynamic melting transition, characterized by a collapse of the mode-locking effect, strongly depends on the frequency, i.e. on the average velocity of the vortices.

Defect Analysis of the β– to γ–Ga2O3 Phase Transition
The role of defects at all the relevant stages of the β$\beta$‐ to γ$\gamma$‐Ga2O3 polymorph transition is investigated using a multi method approach. The positron annihilation spectroscopy based results show that the defect density decreases after the transition, and that changes in defect configuration within the γ phase occur with increasing ...

Composite vortex model of the electrodynamics of high-$T_c$ superconductor
We propose a phenomenological model of vortex dynamics in which the vortex is taken as a composite object made of two components: the vortex current which is massless and driven by the Lorentz force, and the vortex core which is massive and driven by the

Clean‐Limit 2D Superconductivity in a Thick Exfoliated Kagome Film
This study reports clean‐limit 2D superconductivity in a thick kagome system, analogous to the 3D case. It observes a drop in superfluid stiffness near the superconducting transition and a cusp‐like feature in the angular dependence of the upper critical field.

The Ellipsoidal Vortex: A Novel Approach to Geophysical Turbulence
We review the development of the ellipsoidal vortex model within the field of geophysical fluid dynamics. This vortex model is built on the classical potential theory of ellipsoids and applies to large-scale fluid flows, such as those found in the ...

A miniaturized mechano‐acoustic sensor is developed using an electrospun PVDF nanomesh as the diaphragm in a capacitive sensor structure. Unlike conventional nanomesh‐based sensors, it achieves high linear sensitivity, a broad and flat frequency response, and a compact form factor.

Current-driven vortex domain wall dynamics by micromagnetic simulations
Current-driven vortex wall dynamics is studied by means of a two-dimensional analytical model and micromagnetic simulation. By constructing a trial function for the vortex wall in the magnetic wire, we analytically solve for domain wall velocity and ...

Defects Dynamic in Photo‐Excited CeO2 and their Influence on CO2 Photoreduction
X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy study under light excitation is presented to track the defect dynamic (Ce4+ to Ce3+) in CeO2. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy confirmed the key role of Ce3+ states in controlling charge and energy transfer across the CeO2‐dye molecule interface.

Wake dynamics and surface pressure variations on two-dimensional normal flat plates
The relationship between vortex dynamics and surface pressure fluctuations on the leeward face of a two-dimensional normal thin flat plate was studied using Direct Numerical Simulations for incompressible flow at a Reynolds number of 1200.
