Personalized Network‐Guided Neuromodulation Enhances Human Working Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A personalized neuromodulation framework combining individualized functional brain network targeting with real‐time neural decoding is introduced. Using concurrent TMS–fMRI, participant‐specific stimulation targets and optimal frequencies are identified. Only optimal‐frequency stimulation improves working memory across sessions.

High‐Throughput Data Generation and Transfer Learning Enabled Microstructure‐Property Integrated Design of Nickel‐Based Powder Metallurgy Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated transfer learning framework integrates CALPHAD simulations, diffusion‐multiple experiments, and literature data to predict long‐term microstructural stability and short‐term mechanical properties of Ni‐based powder metallurgy superalloys. Based on these model predictions, a high‐performance, low‐density alloy, USTB‐PM750, is designed from

Simultaneous Elicitation of Committee and Voters' Preferences.

open access: yes, 2019
Social choice deals with the problem of determining a consensus choice from the preferences of different voters. In the classical setting, the voting rule is fixed beforehand and full information concerning he preferences of the voters is provided. Recently, the assumption of full preference information has been questioned by a number of researchers ...

Remote Magnetomechanical Neuromodulation Uncovers Therapeutic Mechanisms for Alleviating Parkinsonian Symptoms in Freely Moving Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Mechanism‐Informed Machine Learning Enables Discovery of Oncolytic Peptides for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MISPOP integrates ensemble learning with membrane‐active physicochemical priors to identify Dermaseptin‐S9, a natural oncolytic peptide that disrupts tumor membranes, triggers immunogenic cell death, and shows strong antitumor activity. The study illustrates a mechanism‐informed route from peptide sequence data to cancer immunotherapy leads.

mTORC2 Phosphorylation of GSDME‐N Drives Cullin4B‐Mediated Proteasomal Degradation to Suppress Pyroptosis and Confer Radioresistance in Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Radioresistance severely limits the efficacy of therapies for small cell lung cancer (SCLC). This study reveals a novel mechanism of resistance driven by the active suppression of pyroptosis. Specifically, the mTORC2 complex directly phosphorylates GSDME‐N and promotes its CUL4B‐mediated ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation.

Do voters and non-voters differ in their policy preferences?

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Political Research
Abstract The declining voter turnout across democracies has raised concerns regarding its implications for democratic representation. Yet, the extent to which low turnout may undermine representation in Europe remains unclear. Do the policy preferences of voters and non-voters differ? This research addresses that question by providing
