Charge Detection in Graphene Quantum Dots
We report measurements on a graphene quantum dot with an integrated graphene charge detector. The quantum dot device consists of a graphene island (diameter approx.

$1$-string $B_2$-VPG representation of planar graphs
In this paper, we prove that every planar graph has a 1-string $B_2$-VPG representation—a string representation using paths in a rectangular grid that contain at most two bends. Furthermore, two paths representing vertices $u,v$ intersect precisely once whenever there is an edge between $u$ and $v$. We also show that only a subset of the possible curve

Human Rhinovirus VPg Uridylylation AlphaScreen for High-Throughput Screening [PDF]
As an obligate step for picornaviruses to replicate their genome, the small viral peptide VPg must first be specifically conjugated with uridine nucleotides at a conserved tyrosine hydroxyl group. The resulting VPg-pUpU serves as the primer for genome replication.

Physically unclonable functions (PUFs) of reconfigurable feedback field‐effect transistors (R‐FBFETs) with polycrystalline silicon channels are designed for dual entropy sources. The uniqueness and reliability of the dual entropy source PUF are verified by inter‐ and intra‐Hamming distances of 49.13% and 3.47%, respectively, as well as NIST statistical

Purification and properties of a HeLa cell enzyme able to remove the 5'- terminal protein from poliovirus RNA [PDF]
Using a rapid phenol extraction assay, an enzyme was purified from uninfected HeLa cells that can cleave the 5'-terminal protein (VPg) from poliovirus RNA. Both cytoplasmic and nuclear extracts had enzymes with similar behavior.

Polarization qubit phase gate in driven atomic media [PDF]
We present here an all--optical scheme for the experimental realization of a quantum phase gate. It is based on the polarization degree of freedom of two travelling single photon wave-packets and exploits giant Kerr nonlinearities that can be attained in

Iflaviruses in arthropods: when small is mighty
Many arthropod species harbor iflaviruses, which often cause covert (asymptomatic) infections, but may still affect host fitness. We review the impact of iflaviruses on arthropod fitness, immunity, behaviour as well as the iflavirus’ host range, transmission, tissue tropism and the interactions with other microorganisms within arthropods.

Abstract figure legend We investigated the age‐ and sex‐related differences in the apicobasal repolarization gradient (ABRG) and evaluated their possible role inventricular arrhythmia vulnerability. Electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI) was performed in healthy subjects during sinus rhythm, and the average recovery time (RT) and activation–recovery ...

Characterising circular-arc contact $B_0$-VPG graphs
A contact B0–VPG graph is a graph for which there exists a collection of nontrivial pairwise interiorly disjoint horizontal and vertical segments in one-to-one correspondence with its vertex set such that two vertices are adjacent if and only if the corresponding segments touch. It was shown in Deniz et al.

Abstract figure legend This study examines the relationships between activation and repolarization times in epicardial reconstructed unipolar electrograms derived from ECG‐imaging in patients with normal and delayed ventricular activation. In patients with a narrow QRS‐complex, ECG‐imaging reveals significant variability in the activation ...
