Potential Analysis of On‐Site Oxygen and Ozone Production for Wastewater Treatment Plants

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
The potential of a power‐to‐gas process focusing on the oxygen stream to cover an upcoming demand of ozone at German wastewater treatment plants is analyzed. Economic and ecological parameters are compared to the conventional production of hydrogen and oxygen. Powered by on‐site produced wind energy, the process is deemed beneficial.

A Study of High‐Emission Industries: How Policy, Strategy, and Technology Shape Corporate Social Responsibility Toward Carbon Neutrality

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The extant carbon neutrality (CN) literature largely offers macro‐ or meso‐level analyses, providing limited insights into implementation experiences that could inform granular policymaking and industry strategies. To address this gap, we examine the lived CN experiences of firms in the transportation, energy, manufacturing, and construction ...

Increasing trend of healthcare-associated infections due to vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE-fm) paralleling escalating community-acquired VRE-fm infections in a medical center implementing strict contact precautions: An epidemiologic and pathogenic genotype analysis and its implications

open access: yesJournal of Microbiology, Immunology and Infection, 2023
Objective: To clarify whether there were clandestine intra-hospital spreads of vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE-fm) isolates that led to specific strain of VRE lingering in the hospital and/or developing outbreaks that rendered a ...

A Rapid Post‐Disaster Restoration Method for Networked Microgrids Based on Adaptive Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
To enhance the power restoration speed of networked microgrids (NMGs) after extreme natural disasters and reduce the power outage of the system, this paper proposes a rapid post‐disaster restoration method for NMGs based co‐optimization of fault repair and load restoration.
