Feasibility of Imaging the Uvula at the Midtrimester Anomaly Ultrasound

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, EarlyView.
Objectives The fetal palate is not routinely imaged as part of the midtrimester fetal anomaly ultrasound, despite being associated with many syndromes. The “equal sign” depicts the lateral borders of the uvula on 2‐dimensional fetal ultrasound. We assessed the feasibility of adding the equal sign to the midtrimester fetal anomaly ultrasound.

5D Flow MRI Reveals Respiration‐Driven Changes in Blood Flow Energetics in Congenital Heart Disease

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Hemodynamic monitoring is essential for patients with right‐sided congenital heart disease (CHD). Respiration may have an increased impact on pulmonary flow in these patients that cannot be assessed by standard tools including 4D flow MRI. This study uses 5D flow MRI to assess respiratory‐cycle variations in flow energetics in patients

Catheter Closure of Congenital/Acquired Muscular VSDs and Perimembranous VSDs Using the Amplatzer Devices

open access: yesJournal of Interventional Cardiology, 2003
Over the past 10 years a variety of occluding devices has been used for transcatheter closure of ventricular septal defects (VSDs), but none has gained wide acceptance. This article presents the experience of transcatheter closure of muscular and perimembranous VSDs in 22 and 13 patients, respectively, with the new Amplatzer VSD occluders.

Diagnostic Yield of Post‐Mortem Fetal Micro‐CT for Thoracic Abnormalities

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aims to identify the imaging findings specifically for thoracic anomalies in 1200 Micro‐CT cases, independent of whether the abnormality contributed to the main diagnosis or cause of death. Method We analyzed 1200 Micro‐CT scans in an unselected, consecutive cohort between 2017 and 2024 to identify thoracic anomalies ...
