Deriving VTEC Maps from SMOS Radiometric Data [PDF]
In this work, a new methodology is proposed in order to derive vertical total electron content (VTEC) maps from the radiometric measurements of the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) mission as an alternative approach to those based on external databases and models.

Non-O157 VTEC are typical Escherichia coli that differ only in their ability to produce verocytotoxins (VT). The transmission of VTEC is discussed in relation to the transmission of commensal E. coli. The emergence over the last few decades of a great variety of VTEC serotypes from healthy and diseased humans and animals is described.

Estimation of Polar Depletion Regions by VTEC Contrast and Watershed Enhancing [PDF]
This article presents a method for determining near-Pole ionization depletion regions and troughs from global navigation satellite system (GNSS) vertical total electron content (VTEC) maps. To define the regions, we use Image processing tools, considering the VTEC maps as gray-level images.

High-precision VTEC derivation with GEONET [PDF]
AbstractThis paper proposes a new technique, namely Phase bias-based Small Grid Model (PSGM), to derive absolute ionospheric vertical total electron content (VTEC) with observations of Global Navigation Satellite System Earth Observation Network of Japan (GEONET).
