Aerodynamic enhancement and wake recovery of an asymmetric dual-rotor wind turbine: a coupled-dual rotor wake modelling and CFD investigation

open access: yesEngineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics
This study proposes a novel asymmetric coaxial counter-rotating dual-rotor wind turbine (A-DRWT). Based on the asymmetric configuration of the A-DRWT, this study develops a Coupled-Dual Rotor (CDR) wake model by extending the Gaussian-distribution-based ...

Modelling turbulence in axisymmetric wakes: an application to wind turbine wakes

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Mechanics
A novel fast-running model is developed to predict the three-dimensional (3-D) distribution of turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) in axisymmetric wake flows. This is achieved by mathematically solving the partial differential equation of the TKE transport using the Green's function method.

Cu‐Pd Dual Single Atoms Promoting Selective CO2 Photoreduction to C2 Products in Seawater

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Cu and Pd dual single atoms anchored on TiO2 cooperatively enhance C─C coupling during CO2 photoreduction in seawater. Under xenon‐light irradiation and without a sacrificial reagent/alkaline trapping agent, the catalyst achieves highly selective acetic acid formation.
