Predicting wind turbine blade loads using vorticity transport and RANS methodologies [PDF]
Two computational methods, one based on the solution of the vorticity transport equation, and a second based on the solution of the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equations, have been used to simulate the aerodynamic performance of a horizontal axis ...

High‐throughput single‐cell analysis of resuscitating bacteria reveals a starvation‐history‐dependent transiently tolerant subpopulation that survives β$\beta$‐lactam exposure by temporarily reducing growth. Distinct from classical persisters, these actively growing yet dynamically modulated cells dominate survival across clinically relevant antibiotic

Turbulence in the wake of a roughness patch
Little research was done in the past concerning the propagation of three dimensional effect in shallow wake flow caused by a roughness patch. To get a better understanding of the consequences of the three dimensionality of the flow structures ...

Personalized Network‐Guided Neuromodulation Enhances Human Working Memory
A personalized neuromodulation framework combining individualized functional brain network targeting with real‐time neural decoding is introduced. Using concurrent TMS–fMRI, participant‐specific stimulation targets and optimal frequencies are identified. Only optimal‐frequency stimulation improves working memory across sessions.

Development of a Prescribed Expanding Vortex Wake model for Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines
This work deals with an improvment to the Prescribe Vortex Wake (PVW) model, called Prescribed Expanding Vortex Wake (PEVW) model, which uses the Lifting Line theory in the description of the wind turbine blades and the vortex theory in modeling the ...
