Numerical investigation of wind turbine wakes under high thrust coefficient
We study wind turbine wakes of rotors operating at high thrust coefficients (CT > 24/25) using large‐eddy simulations with a rotating actuator disk model. Wind turbine wakes at high thrust coefficients are different from wakes at low thrust coefficients.

The difference in surface roughness between land and sea, and the terrain complexities, lead to spatially heterogeneous atmospheric conditions, and therefore affect the propagation and dynamics of wind‐turbine and wind‐farm wakes.

Long-range modifications of the wind field by offshore wind parks – results of the project WIPAFF
This publication synthesizes the results of the WIPAFF (WInd PArk Far Fields) project. WIPAFF focused on the far field of large offshore wind park wakes (more than 5 km downstream of the wind parks) located in the German North Sea.

X-Ray Wakes in Abell 160 [PDF]
`Wakes' of X-ray emission have now been detected trailing behind a few (at least seven) elliptical galaxies in clusters. To quantify how widespread this phenomenon is, and what its nature might be, we have obtained a deep (70 ksec) X-ray image of the ...

CFD in Wind Energy: The Virtual, Multiscale Wind Tunnel
Over the past two decades, computational fluid dynamics and particularly the finite volume method have been increasingly used to predict the performance of wind turbines within their environment.

Wind Tunnel Testing of Yaw by Individual Pitch Control Applied to Wake Steering
The yaw control of horizontal-axis wind turbines is the key point for wake redirection, which is expected to provide an improvement in the balance between wind farm production and loads.

Primordial Non-Gaussianity: Baryon Bias and Gravitational Collapse of Cosmic String Wakes [PDF]
I compute the 3-D non-linear evolution of gas and dark matter fluids in the neighbourhood of cosmic string wakes which are formed at high redshift ($z\simeq 2240$) for a ``realistic'' scenario of wake formation.
