In this paper, we propose a novel joint coding-modulation technique based on serial concatenation of orthogonal linear transform, such as discrete Fourier transform (DFT) or Walsh-Hadamard transform (WHT), with memoryless nonlinearity.

gammaSTAR: A framework for the development of dynamic, real‐time capable MR sequences
Abstract Purpose To present the real‐time capability and advanced MR sequence library of the MR sequence development framework gammaSTAR. Methods The presented platform consists of four different components: (1) a frontend for sequence development combined with a Python backend for sequence generation; (2) a Lua backend for the creation of hardware ...

Design and Implementation of a Speller based on EMG Signal
A speller is a communication device designed for those suffering from neuromuscular disorders having difficulty to speak. An EMG based design is proposed which uses eye blinks for character selection that offers high accuracy and more comfort to the user.

Animal Trajectory Imputation and Uncertainty Quantification via Deep Learning
ABSTRACT Imputing missing data in animal trajectories is crucial for understanding animal movements during unobserved periods. However, the traditional methods, such as linear interpolation and the continuous‐time correlated random walk model, are often inadequate to capture the complexity of animal movements.

Universal quantum computation with unlabeled qubits
We show that an n-th root of the Walsh-Hadamard transform (obtained from the Hadamard gate and a cyclic permutation of the qubits), together with two diagonal matrices, namely a local qubit-flip (for a fixed but arbitrary qubit) and a non-local phase ...

Randomized Orthogonalization Process With Reorthogonalization
ABSTRACT The dimension reduction technique of random sketching is advantageous in significantly reducing computational complexity. In orthogonalization processes like the Gram‐Schmidt (GS) algorithm, incorporating random sketching results in a halving of computational costs compared to the classical/modified Gram‐Schmidt (CGS/MGS) algorithms, while ...

Walsh-Hadamard transform for complex-valued signals
The basis functions of the Walsh–Hadamard transform are real-valued whereas most signals in digital signal processing have in-phase and quadrature components. A Walsh–Hadamard power spectrum of a complex-valued sequence is defined, with the aim of obtaining a Fourier-like power spectrum using fewer computations.

Dimensionality Reduction in Full‐Waveform Inversion Uncertainty Analysis
ABSTRACT The uncertainty of model parameters obtained by full‐waveform inversion can be determined from the Hessian of the least‐squares error functional. A description of uncertainty characterisation is presented that takes the null space of the Hessian into account and does not rely on the Bayesian formulation.

Semi-fragile watermark algorithm based on Walsh-Hadamard transformand and convolution coding
A semi-fragile watermark algorithm based on the Walsh-Hadamard transform and convolution coding was proposed. In this algorithm, the watermark content of the host image was extracted by differential coding and convolution coding respectively based on the
