Insights Into Improving the Li‐Ion Transference Number and Li Deposition Uniformity Toward a High‐Current‐Density Lithium Metal Anode

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
A Li‐ion conductivity‐enhancing separator (PCELS) based on polymer, ceramic, and electrically conductive materials is proposed to improve Li‐ion conductivity and regulate Li‐ion flux. The PCELS has high electrolyte wettability and Li‐ion transference number.

Electrochemical Characterization of Site‐Specifically Metal‐Modified DNA Films on Gold Electrode Surfaces

open access: yesChemPlusChem, EarlyView.
DNA films containing different CuII‐ or AgI‐mediated base pairs are investigated with respect to their electrochemical properties and how these depend on the size and charge of the artificial metal‐binding nucleobase as well as the location of the metal‐mediated base pair within the duplex.

A Fast and Highly Stable Aqueous Calcium‐Ion Battery for Sustainable Energy Storage

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
Aqueous batteries provide a low‐cost, safer alternative to lithium‐ion batteries, but their viability is often limited by rapid electrode degradation. This study shows that replacing K+ with divalent Ca2+ ions in the electrolyte significantly boosts the stability of both copper hexacyanoferrate cathodes and polyimide anodes, enabling fast‐charging ...

Revealing the Effect of Pendant Identity on the Electrochemistry of Non‐Conjugated Redox Active Polymers

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
By examining three different redox‐active polymers with identical backbones, this work demonstrates that redox kinetics correlate strongly with polymer‐solvent favorability, in which favorable polymer‐solvent interactions increase the reaction kinetics Understanding charge transfer in redox‐active non‐conjugated polymers is key to unlocking their ...
