Cosmological perturbations engendered by discrete relativistic species

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
Within the extension of the $$\varLambda $$ Λ CDM model, allowing for the presence of neutrinos or warm dark matter, we develop the analytical cosmological perturbation theory.

Sterile neutrinos as subdominant warm dark matter [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2007
In light of recent findings which seem to disfavor a scenario with (warm) dark matter entirely constituted of sterile neutrinos produced via the Dodelson-Widrow (DW) mechanism, we investigate the constraints attainable for this mechanism by relaxing the usual hypothesis that the relic neutrino abundance must necessarily account for all of the dark ...

Tunable Synthetic Hydrogel Modulates Hepatic Lineage Specification of Human Liver Organoid

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, a synthetic hydrogel is reported that supports the formation of hiPSC‐derived human liver organoids (HLOs). Hepatic lineage specification can be modulated via conjugation of RGD peptide to hydrogel: RGD‐conjugated hydrogels promote cholangiocyte differentiation, whereas RGD‐free hydrogels favor hepatocyte commitment of HLO cells.

Cosmological relaxation from dark fermion production

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We consider the cosmological relaxation solution to the electroweak hierarchy problem using the fermion production as a dominant friction force. In our approach, neither super-Planckian field excursions nor a large number of e-folds arise, and scanning ...

New Bounds for the Mass of Warm Dark Matter Particles Using Results from Fermionic King Model

open access: yesUniverse, 2021
After reviewing several aspects about the thermodynamics of self-gravitating systems that undergo the evaporation (escape) of their constituents, some recent results obtained in the framework of fermionic King model are applied here to the analysis of ...

Fermionic partner of Quintessence field as candidate for dark matter

open access: yes, 2004
Quintessence is a possible candidate for dark energy. In this paper we study the phenomenologies of the fermionic partner of Quintessence, the Quintessino.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Conformal freeze-in, composite dark photon, and asymmetric reheating

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Large classes of dark sector models feature mass scales and couplings very different from the ones we observe in the Standard Model (SM). Moreover, in the freeze-in mechanism, often employed by the dark sector models, it is also required that the dark ...

Early galaxy formation in warm dark matter cosmologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We present a framework for high-redshift ($z \geq 7$) galaxy formation that traces their dark matter (DM) and baryonic assembly in four cosmologies: Cold Dark Matter (CDM) and Warm Dark Matter (WDM) with particle masses of $m_x =$ 1.5, 3 and 5 ${\rm keV}$
