Finite element analysis of non-isothermal warm deep drawing of dual phase steel [PDF]
Improving the formability of the material is an important issue in the deep drawing process. Heating the material above its recrystallization temperature drastically increases formability but in the case of dual phase (DP) steels it results in the loss of their mechanical properties.

Warm deep drawing of aluminium sheet [PDF]
Aluminium sheet drawing processes can be improved by manipulating local flow behaviour by means of elevated temperatures and temperature gradients in the tooling. Forming tests showed that a substantial improvement is possible not only for 5xxx but also for 6xxx series alloys.

A numerical study on warm deep drawing of polypropylene
Abstract Warm deep drawing of polypropylene, a semi‐crystalline thermoplastic polymer, is studied using finite element analysis. In this process, a circular polypropylene blank is preheated to a temperature much below its melting temperature and deep drawn into the shape of a flat‐bottom cylindrical cup using a punch‐die combination ...

Effects of Variable Punch Speed and Blank Holder Force in Warm Superplastic Deep Drawing Process
A cylindrical deep drawing test was conducted for the purpose of improving the drawability, product accuracy, and quality in warm deep drawing using a superplastic material with large strain rate dependence. Then, the effects of blank holding force (BHF)

Impact of wind pattern and complex topography on snow microphysics during International Collaborative Experiment for PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic winter games (ICE-POP 2018) [PDF]
Snowfall in the northeastern part of South Korea is the result of complex snowfall mechanisms due to a highly contrasting terrain combined with nearby warm waters and three synoptic pressure patterns.

Effect of temperature on anisotropy in forming simulations of aluminum alloys [PDF]
A combined experimental and numerical study of the effect of temperature on anisotropy in warm forming of AA 6016-T4 aluminum was performed. The anisotropy coefficients of the Vegter yield function were calculated from crystal plasticity models with an ...

Development of Warm Punch Using Friction Heat
In press forming, most forming is performed cold. However, warm or hot forming is used for hard materials. In the present study, we focused on the heat generated by friction between metals and worked on the development of the warm punch that utilizes ...
