Meteorological clutter suppression method for ball-borne radar based on Kalmus filter

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Aimed at the problem that the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) target is difficult to be detected in the meteorological clutter because of their close velocity, a new detection method is proposed for the ball-borne radar based on Kalmus filter. Firstly, the

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction for Integration of Radar and Communication Systems Based on OFDM Signals with Block Golay Coding

open access: yesLeida xuebao, 2014
Integration of radar and communication systems based on OFDM signals results in large Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR). Limited by the code rate, algorithm that use the Golay sequence code to restrain PAPR can only be applied under the condition of a ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Improved multi-target tracking algorithm based on SMC-CBMeMBer for the airborne Doppler radar

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
To effectively suppress clutter in airborne Doppler radar and improve multi-target tracking (MTT) performance, this study proposes an improved MTT algorithm based on Sequential Monte Carlo Cardinality Balanced Multi-target Multi-Bernoulli (SMC-CBMeMBer ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

An empirical analysis of the market response to earnings warning announcements : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Business Studies in Finance at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
A review of the recent literature surrounding market efficiency identifies two families of pervasive regularities: the underreaction of stock prices to new information events, such as earnings announcements or warnings, and the overreaction of stock ...

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.
