A Study on Warp Tension of a Tricot Machine

Proposed Algorithm for Warp Direction Checking in Tensioned Fabric Structures
Mesh generation of tensioned fabric structure is needed before form-finding. The sequence of defining the mesh of a surface must ensure that the warp and fill direction of the fabric material used in the model is properly represented due to orthotropic nature of fabric material.

Numerical Modeling of Tank Cars Carrying Hazardous Materials With and Without Composite Metal Foam
Large‐scale puncture models consisting of hazardous materials (HAZMATs) tank car with protective steel–steel composite metal foam (S–S CMF) are solved numerically. Tank car plate with added 10.91–13.33 mm thick S–S CMF layer does not puncture. Protective S–S CMF absorbs impact energy, reduces plate deformation, and prevents shear bands formation ...

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

We present a scenario where brane inflation arises more generically. We start with D3 and anti-D3-branes at the infrared ends of two different throats.

Computer Simulation of Warp Tension on a Weaving Machine
This paper investigates about the simulation of warp tension variation in a weaving machine, based on mathematical and mechanical equations. To perform simulation, a differential equation system was formed and solved by numerical method. The results shown as the curves of warp tension variations and back rail oscillation of the loom were compared with ...
