Warped-Linear Models for Time Series Classification [PDF]
This article proposes and studies warped-linear models for time series classification. The proposed models are time-warp invariant analogues of linear models. Their construction is in line with time series averaging and extensions of k-means and learning vector quantization to dynamic time warping (DTW) spaces.

Prime alternating knots of minimal warping degree two [PDF]
The warping degree of an oriented knot diagram is the minimal number of crossing changes which are required to obtain a monotone knot diagram from the diagram. The minimal warping degree of a knot is the minimal value of the warping degree for all oriented minimal diagrams of the knot.

Exact Mean Computation in Dynamic Time Warping Spaces
Dynamic time warping constitutes a major tool for analyzing time series. In particular, computing a mean series of a given sample of series in dynamic time warping spaces (by minimizing the Fr\'echet function) is a challenging computational problem, so ...

This article introduces a hybrid manufacturing approach to create conductive pathways in additively manufactured fully‐aromatic polyimides. This is enabled through a combination of high‐resolution laser scribing process for fabricating graphene and metallizing it with electrodeposition of copper to further increase conductivity.

Principal Nested Spheres for Time Warped Functional Data Analysis [PDF]
There are often two important types of variation in functional data: the horizontal (or phase) variation and the vertical (or amplitude) variation. These two types of variation have been appropriately separated and modeled through a domain warping method

Non-Uniform Torsion Behavior of Thin-Walled Beams According to the Finite Element Method
This study is based on a theory for analyzing non-uniform torsion in thin-walled beams made of homogeneous elastic material with arbitrary cross-sections by incorporating the effect of the shear deformation of a cross-section.

Artificially Weaved Textile‐like Surface Micromachined Graphene‐Polymer Flexible Bioelectrodes
This study reports on the engineering of microscale textured surfaces of SU‐8/PMMA polymer composites much like a “weft‐warp” pattern to resemble “artificially‐weaved” textiles. These microstructured surfaces enable conformal layering of functional reduced graphene oxide (rGO), all‐in‐all offering favorable features including remarkable self ...

A multiresolution approach to time warping achieved by a Bayesian prior-posterior transfer fitting strategy. [PDF]
The procedure known as warping aims at reducing phase variability in a sample of functional curve observations, by applying a smooth bijection to the argument of each of the functions.
