Controlling Competitive Radical Pathways: Insights From Aryl Diazonium Electrografting
This work shows that nitrobenzene diazonium electrografting results from competition between aryl and diazenyl radicals, which govern film composition. Using simulations and control strategies, grafting conditions are tuned to favor specific radicals. It enables selective formation of azo‐enriched films and paves the way toward the precise control of ...

Heterogeneous catalytic ozonation of 2, 4-dinitrophenol in aqueous solution by magnetic carbonaceous nanocomposite: catalytic activity and mechanism [PDF]
Herein, the catalytic properties of a carbonaceous nanocomposite in the catalytic ozonation process (COP) of 2, 4-dinitrophenol (2, 4-DNP) were investigated and the results were compared with those obtained from single ozonation process (SOP).

Nonlinear dielectric effect of dipolar fluids
The nonlinear dielectric effect for dipolar fluids is studied within the framework of the mean spherical approximation (MSA) of hard core dipolar Yukawa fluids. Based on earlier results for the electric field dependence of the polarization our analytical

Copper Single‐Atom Decorated Microfibrous Catalysts for Continuous‐Flow Reduction of Nitroarenes
Herein, a Cu‐single‐atom decorated, microfibrous catalyst (Cu1/CMF) is fabricated for chemoselective reduction of nitroarenes, demonstrating a superior processing capacity of 1.92 mmol mgcat−1 h−1 and superior durability (≥ 25 cycles) in a continuous‐flow manner.

Self Running Droplet: Emergence of Regular Motion from Nonequilibrium Noise [PDF]
Spontaneous motion of an oil droplet driven by chemical nonequilibricity is reported. It is shown that the droplet undergoes regular rhythmic motion under appropriately designed boundary conditions, whereas it exhibits random motion in an isotropic ...

A proof‐of‐concept of a thermally‐tunable cathodoluminescence‐based light source is demonstrated using a wide‐bandgap z‐cut ZnO crystal as anode, resulting in the ultraviolet (UV) emission peak shifting from 398 nm to ~409 nm (3.115‐3.032 eV). Our results establish the feasibility of a compact, field‐deployable UV source with potential for gas sensing ...

Exploding Nitromethane in silico, in real time
Nitromethane (NM) is widely applied in chemical technology as a solvent for extraction, cleaning and chemical synthesis. NM was considered safe for a long time, until a railroad tanker car exploded in 1958. We investigate detonation kinetics and reaction
