Gas-Phase Formation of Water-Soluble Organic Compounds in the Atmosphere: A Retrosynthetic Analysis
Journal of Atmospheric Chemistry, 2000Atmospheric particles contain a myriad of organiccompounds, including many multifunctional,water-soluble organic compounds. Many of thesecompounds are postulated to be secondary of origin. This work investigates the possible precursors ofseveral classes of multifunctional, water-solublesecondary organic compounds by analyzing the pathwaysleading to ...

A study of the surface analysis of some water‐soluble polymers by inverse gas chromatography
Surface and Interface Analysis, 2008Abstract The surface characterization of 2‐(dimethylamino)ethylmethacrylate (DMA) and 2‐( N ‐morpholino)ethylmethacrylate (MEMA) homopolymers and DMA–MEMA diblock copolymer was studied using inverse‐gas chromatography (IGC).

Modified Mechanism and Properties of Water-Soluble Sodium Silicate for Oil and Gas Field
Materials Science Forum, 2015With an analysis on the structure of water-soluble sodium silicate and its polymerization, it was found that the poor stability of silicate drilling fluids lies in the relevance between the inherent nature and the pH value of sodium silicate. The modification of water-soluble sodium silicate in this paper was to improve its stability and keep the ...

Analysis of the water-soluble fraction of crude oils and petroleum products by gas chromatography
Oil and Petrochemical Pollution, 1984Crude oils and petroleum products have been shown to produce qualitatively similar water soluble fractions. These were prepared from crude oils and petroleum products and were analysed using two methods of gas chromatography. A headspace technique was used to measure the more volatile hydrocarbons and a microextraction analysis was used for the less ...

Phytochemistry, 1964
Abstract Residues from the hot aqueous ethanol extracts of twigs were fractionated to obtain water-soluble fractions which were subsequently deionized, and then methylated by a modification of Kuhn's procedure. Gas-liquid partition chromatography (GLPC) was used for the qualitative analysis of the products of methylation, and to isolate individual ...

Gas-phase ammonia and water-soluble ions in particulate matter analysis in an urban vehicular tunnel
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2016Ammonia is a key alkaline species, playing an important role by neutralizing atmospheric acidity and inorganic secondary aerosol production. On the other hand, the NH3/NH4 (+) increases the acidity and eutrophication in natural ecosystems, being NH3 classified as toxic atmospheric pollutant.

Water-gas shift reaction in the liquid phase: Catalysis by water-soluble rhodium complexes
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 19891. A series of water-soluble rhodium complexes containing diphenyl-m-sulfophenylphosphine as ligand are synthesized. The catalytic activity of the synthesized complexes in the WGSR is studied. 2. Probable mechanistic schemes for the WGSR are proposed, including intermediates not containing halide ions.
