Development of water leak detection method in fusion reactors using water-soluble gas

Fusion Engineering and Design, 2008
Abstract A water leak detection method using krypton (Kr) as a water-soluble tracer has been proposed for fusion reactors with fully circulating the in-vessel cooling water. This method was targeted for applying to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), and the 10−3 Pa m3/s order of water leak valves were fabricated and ...

Microbial degradation of the water-soluble fraction of gas oil—II bioassays with pure strains

Water Research, 1978
Abstract The rate of degradation of 47 water-soluble components of gas oil by the mixed autochthonous microflora of clean ground water as well as by 4 isolates was measured in batch experiments. Identification of some intermediate degradation products gave insight into the primary reactions of the oxidative breakdown of some of the aromatic ...

Water-soluble phthalocyanine complexes of Ga(III) and In(III) in the photodynamic inactivation of pathogenic fungus

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
Phthalocyanines of gallium(III) and indium(III) (GaPc1 and InPc1) bearing four methylpyridyloxy groups on the periphery of the phthalocyanine ring were synthesized. The both phthalocyanines were obtained with a good solubility in water solutions, which make them suitable for application in the Photodynamic therapy (PDT). The absorbance in the Uv-vis

Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry determination of water-soluble primary amines as their pentafluorobenzaldehyde imines

Analytical Chemistry, 1985
Primary aliphatic amines present at trace levels in water samples were converted to imine derivatives using pentafluorobenzaldehyde. The derivatives were extracted into hexane and measured by combined high-resolution gas chromatography/mass spectrometry using multiple ion monitoring.

Quantification of water-soluble gasoline fractions using a radioisotopic standard with direct aqueous injection-gas chromatography

Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 1977
A new gas liquid chromatography (GLC) technique was devised to determine the amounts of individual water-soluble gasoline fractions (WSGFs) present in aqueous solutions. The technique described permits direct aqueous injection of water samples without the problems associated with solvent extraction techniques (JELTES and VELDINK 1967, LYSYJ and RUSSELL

[Change in Characteristics of Pollution Gas and Water-soluble Ions at Different Development Stages of Haze].

Huan jing ke xue= Huanjing kexue, 2019
To explore the variation in characteristics of atmospheric pollutants at different stages of haze, the monitor for aerosols and gases in ambient air (MARGA) was used to observe the concentrations of precursor pollutants (NH3, HNO3, and SO2) and eight water-soluble ions in a regional haze in the Yangtze River Delta region from November 18 to December 07,
