ABSTRACT In this paper, we trace the journey to create the Strong Roots for our Futures Program, a government program to resource and support Traditional Owners to undertake a range of activities in areas where no state recognition existed. We provide a background to state recognition in Victoria before considering the program design, leading to an ...

A mouth prop designed to mimic the oral cavity of rats was made that provided stable, self‐retaining retraction, thereby facilitating oral surgery on rodents. Compared to conventional methods, it decreased surgical time, operator fatigue, and slippage. Its use led to higher efficiency and fewer complications and it was cost effective to produce.

Dissecting the dissection laboratory: Elements for designing a human anatomy laboratory
Abstract The human anatomy dissection laboratory is a critical component of anatomical and medical education. Development, maintenance, and stocking of these laboratory spaces have unique demands, with all of the challenges in running a laboratory with Biosafety Laboratory Level 2 (BSL‐2) classification, housing a large volume of tissues saturated with

Accelerating green heterocyclic synthesis: Convergence of AI, automation, and sustainable chemistry
Green heterocyclic synthesis and data‐driven tools such as AI, high‐throughput experimentation, continuous flow, and self‐driving laboratories have developed largely in parallel. This review connects them and asks how green metrics such as E‐factor and PMI might serve as explicit optimization targets rather than post‐hoc measures, toward sustainable ...

ABSTRACT Low‐cost experiential modules are critical for democratizing biotechnology education, yet most undergraduates lack hands‐on experience with continuous‐culture bioreactor operations, which are fundamental to industrial bioprocessing. This study employed design‐based research across two iterative cycles (Fall 2024, n = 8; Fall 2025, n = 11) to ...

Evidence for adaptive explanations of semelparity in animals
ABSTRACT Semelparity, the reproductive strategy of reproducing once, is widespread but uncommon in animals. Classes of models to explain the evolution of semelparity are based either on age structure and mortality schedules – demographic models in which high post‐reproductive mortality risk favours high reproductive effort and semelparity results from ...
