Forest influence on the surface water chemistry of granitic basins receiving acid precipitation in the Vosges massif, France [PDF]
This study shows the influence of acid rain on the chemistry of surface waters in two small basins. The basins present similar altitudes and climates, only one is forested, and the forest decline has been clearly established.

Superacid Chemistry on Mildly Acidic Water [PDF]
The mechanism of proton transfer across water−hydrophobic media boundaries is investigated in experiments in which the protonation of gaseous n-hexanoic acid (PCOOH) upon collision with liquid water microjets is monitored by online electrospray mass ...

A Review on the Bulk and Surface Chemistry of Iron in Atmospherically-relevant Systems Containing Humic Like Substances (HULIS) [PDF]
As the fourth most abundant element by mass in the Earth’s crust, iron is ubiquitous and its chemistry is rich and interdisciplinary in nature. This review synthesizes the current state of knowledge of iron chemistry in multicomponent atmospheric ...
