CORE: Cholesterol Altered Lipid Nanoparticles for Splenic Expression of mRNA Payloads
In this paper researchers introduce CORE LNPs, a new class of lipid nanoparticles engineered to redirect mRNA expression away from the liver and into the spleen, a key immune organ. By combining chemical design with computational tools, they created cholesterol analogs that enable precise spleen‐targeted expression, providing greater applications for ...

Model‐Driven Optimization of Subcutaneous Polymer Prodrugs Achieves Cancer Remission in Mice
A pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) model was developed to evaluate multiple dosing regimens for subcutaneously administered water‐soluble polymer prodrug for cancer therapy. The model enabled prediction of in vivo performance and contributed to the optimization of anticancer efficacy.

This study presents HAEP@Res sub‐microgels as a lung‐targeted delivery system integrating antioxidant activity with anti‐inflammatory therapy. The sub‐microgels demonstrate excellent biocompatibility, efficiently scavenge intracellular ROS, and downregulate pro‐inflammatory cytokines and genes in a Bleo‐induced ALI mouse model. These findings highlight

This chapter covers the processes in the water column in relation to plankton. It discusses the importance and interaction of various factors in plankton dynamics. Water motion is important for phytoplankton growth in all parts of the ocean, but its influence is best introduced in correlation with the spring phytoplankton increase.

Distribution of bdellovibrios in the water column of an estuary
Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1984The distribution of bdellovibrios in the water column of the Miles River has been studied. Water samples were collected every 4 h over a 24-h period from five depths in the water column. The samples were cultured for the recovery of bdellovibrios lytic against Vibrio parahaemolyticus.

Correcting for water-column variations
The Leading Edge, 2009Marine surveys are acquired as a collection of independent sail lines that can be shot days, months, and (in the case of 4D) years apart. Even when the acquisition is well managed (for example, source and receiver positions can be accurately defined for coverage in 3D or for repeatability in 4D), one key element cannot be controlled: the properties of ...

Improving the Water Column Representation
2006Abstract : The representation of the undersea environment has often been ignored, or at best static, or precalculated in distributed simulation. This paper details the efforts of a multidisciplinary team who have implemented a dynamic ocean model and sensor response in the Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) architecture.

Shell Producers in the Water Column
1984The key to the reconstruction of ancient pelagic environments lies largely in the sedimentary record of the shells of planktic organisms. Most important in this respect are the shells of planktic Foraminifera and Coccolithophorida. They form in places, together with shells of Pteropoda, the bulk of the present-day calcareous oozes, covering about 1/3 ...
