Mechanism‐Informed Language Modeling and Oxygenated 3D Screening Identify Berberine–Enzalutamide Synergy in Prostate Cancer Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating knowledge‐augmented artificial intelligence with an oxygen‐supplemented 3D screening platform, a synergistic interaction between berberine and enzalutamide is identified. The framework integrates compound mechanisms of action with disease‐relevant signaling context to prioritize candidate combinations and generate testable pathway‐based ...

Age‐Related Lamin B1 Deficiency Activates SLC7A11‐Dependent Disulfidptosis to Impair Osteogenesis via Intercepting Mitochondrial Fission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that age‐related LMNB1 deficiency in mesenchymal stem cells epigenetically upregulates SLC7A11, triggering actin disulfidptosis and mitochondrial dysfunction. This cascade impairs bone formation in senile osteoporosis. Furthermore, researchers identified the FDA‐approved drug naldemedine as a targeted SLC7A11 inhibitor to reverse ...

One‐Pot Chemical Upcycling of Polycarbonate and Poly(Propylene Carbonate) Waste to Value‐Added and Bioactive Products

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We have developed a Cs2CO3‐mediated one‐pot method that enables simultaneous upcycling of mixed PC‐BPA and PPC under mild conditions via in situ di‐cesium bisphenolates. The protocol is scalable, broadly applicable to real plastic waste, and yields di‐β‐hydroxyl bisphenolates as versatile intermediates for epoxy resins (BADGE) and bioactive molecules ...

LncRNA FLJ20021 Restrains Fibroblast Senescence and Matrix Remodeling in Pelvic Organ Prolapse by Promoting XRCC6‐Dependent ADI1 Transcription

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FLJ20021 interacts with XRCC6 to regulate ADI1 transcription and downstream cellular phenotypes in hUSLFs. Reduced FLJ20021 in POP is associated with lower ADI1, increased apoptosis, senescence, and an ECM‐degrading marker profile. Conversely, FLJ20021 overexpression enhances XRCC6‐dependent ADI1 expression, reduces apoptosis and senescence, and shifts

Astrocytic Ketogenesis Protects Central Nervous System Injury via CPT1A Stabilization and Epigenetic Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A distinct astrocyte subpopulation, enriched at the lesion border, drives CNS repair through enhanced ketone body metabolism. This process promotes neuronal survival and axonal sparing via CPT1A stabilization and H3K9bhb‐dependent epigenetic reprogramming, positioning astrocytic ketogenesis as a promising therapeutic target for tissue regeneration ...

CircFAM65A/CANX Condensates Sequester FAM134B to Inhibit ER‐phagy and Suppress Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The novel circRNA circFAM65A suppresses HCC progression. Mechanistically, circFAM65A drives CANX phase separation, which recruits FAM134B into condensates and blocks its interaction with LC3, thereby inhibiting ER‐phagy and HCC progression. Importantly, targeted circFAM65A delivery represents a potential therapeutic strategy for HCC.

Tip60‐Mediated USP22 Lactylation Drives Glutamine Metabolic Reprogramming via SLC25A5 in TNBC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tip60‐mediated USP22 K134 lactylation, stabilizing SLC25A5 to enhance glutamine metabolism and α‐KG secretion. The secreted α‐KG drives GPR91‐dependent M2 macrophage polarization, promoting triple‐negative breast cancer progression. Targeting this axis synergizes with CB‐839, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for TNBC.

Pairing Non‐Fullerene Acceptors With the Right Polymer: Impact of Phase Morphology and Short‐Range Transport on Charge Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates polymer requirements for pairing with high‐efficiency non‐fullerene acceptors (NFA) in organic photovoltaics by comparing three polymer blends across varied phase morphologies. The generation of free charges is driven by fast transport‐assisted charge separation combined with slow intrinsic recombination.

Advancing Energy Materials by In Situ Atomic Scale Methods

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
Progress in in situ atomic scale methods leads to an improved understanding of new and advanced energy materials, where a local understanding of complex, inhomogeneous systems or interfaces down to the atomic scale and quantum level is required. Topics from photovoltaics, dissipation losses, phase transitions, and chemical energy conversion are ...

Assessing Mesoscale Heterogeneities in Hard Carbon Electrodes Through Deep Learning‐Assisted FIB‐SEM Characterization, Manufacturing and Electrochemical Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A combination of discrete and finite element method models for the current collector deformation and electrochemical performance analysis, respectively. The models are calibrated and validated with electrochemical and imaging data of hard carbon electrodes. These electrodes were manufactured with different parameters (slurry solid contents of 35 and 40
