SINKING BEHAVIOR OF PIPE WITH WATER-INFLOW

open access: yesBulletin of JSME, 1985
This paper presents a theoretical analysis and a model experiment of sinking behavior of a very long pipe with a water-inflow. With application of a water-inflow, the effects of intake and exhaust port diameters at the pipe ends and pipe length and diameter upon the sinking behavior are examined by numerical analysis using the Runge-Kutta method and by

Analytical study on water inflow and pore water pressure of tunnels under drainage

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2020
The calculation of water inflow and pore water pressure of tunnels is always the focus of underground engineering. However, the effect of water inflow and pore water pressure of tunnels under drainage has not been well solved.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Interval uncertainty analysis of a confined aquifer

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Water inflow forecast is influenced by many factors and yields uncertain results. To more accurately predict the magnitude of water inflow and quantitatively define the corresponding response in the parameter change interval, this study combined a non ...

Simulation of the rise in pore water pressure due to embankment load during the construction phase of the levee

open access: yesMedia Komunikasi Teknik Sipil, 2023
Inflow in Jatiluhur Reservoir located on the Citarum River is influenced by outflow from Cirata Reservoir and Saguling Reservoir which are above it. These three reservoirs are incorporated in the Citarum Cascade System Reservoir.

Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...

WATER SAVING AND MAIZE PRODUCTIVITY UNDER ALTERNATIVE FURROW IRRIGATION SYSTEM [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Soil Sciences and Agricultural Engineering, 2015
Field experiments were conducted along two consecutive seasons of summer (2013/2014) at private farm, Jabbars village, Itay Al-Barud, Beheira Governorate, Egypt, to demonstrate the impact of alternative furrow irrigation techniques, on maize yield, water

Mine water inflow prediction based on DRN-BiLSTM model

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2023
For the problem of low accuracy and applicability of the model prediction in the study of mine water inflow, a method of mine water inflow prediction based on bidirectional short and long memory network(BiLSTM) and deep residual network (DRN) is proposed.

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Common Approximations to the Water Inflow into Tunnels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Groundwater inflow into hard rock tunnels is very difficult to estimate accurately. In practice, estimates range from grossly low, which then results in large cost overruns and hazardous conditions in the workplace, to grossly high, which leads contractors to ignore them.
