Study on Water Inrush Characteristics of Hard Rock Tunnel Crossing Heterogeneous Faults

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Fault water inflow is one of the most severe disasters that can occur during the construction of hard and brittle rock tunnels. These tunnels traverse brittle fault breccia zones comprising two key components: a damage zone dominated by low-strain ...

Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Coal Mine Water Inflow Prediction Model Based on Multi-Factor Pearson Correlation Analysis

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Since geological structures around coal mines are complex, sudden coal mine water inflow is seriously threatening coal mining safety. To improve the accuracy of predicting coal mine water inflow, a multi-source dataset is collected to develop a coal mine

Local Inflow Analysis of Jatiluhur Reservoir Using HEC-HMS

open access: yesMedia Komunikasi Teknik Sipil, 2023
Inflow in Jatiluhur Reservoir located on the Citarum River is influenced by outflow from Cirata Reservoir and Saguling Reservoir which are above it. These three reservoirs are incorporated in the Citarum Cascade System Reservoir.

A Molecular Shielding Strategy to Develop Low Protein Binding, Renal Clearable Pan‐Cancer Near‐Infrared Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecular shielding strategy to convert “protein‐sticky” and “non‐tumor specific” clinical ICG dye, into a “low protein binding” and “tumor‐targeting” dye with prolonged blood circulation and renal clearance is described. These shielded ICGs demonstrate strong tumor accumulation and optimal tissue clearance, resulting in high tumor‐to‐background ...

Prediction technology of mine water inflow based on entropy weight method and multiple nonlinear regression theory and its application

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
Mine water inflow is an important basis for the formulation of mining plans and the utilization of groundwater resources. The mine water inflow is the result of the combined influence of many factors.

Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward

Targeting Post‐Irradiation Thyroid Dysfunction: Electrospun Scaffolds As A Dual‐Action Approach for Antioxidant and Immune Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...

Ocean Water Inflow into Kagoshima Bay

open access: yesOceanography in Japan, 1998
A thermal infrared image from Landsat/TM is presented, in which the ocean water flow into Kagoshima Bay can be clearly seen from the overview of sea surface temperature (SST). This observation is supported by the time variation of temperature data of a buoy robot at Kanoya in the bay. In order to investigate further the water mass exchange due to ocean

Calculation on water inflow of large underground water-sealed storage during operation and grouting design

open access: yesYou-qi chuyun, 2022
Prediction of water inflow in caverns has been a big problem for a long time, and the predication during construction has not been effectively combined with the water sealing by grouting, resulting in excessive grouting cost and difficulty in acceptance ...
