A search for 22-GHz water masers within the giant molecular cloud associated with RCW 106

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2007
We report the results of a blind search for 22-GHz water masers in two regions, covering approximately half a square degree, within the giant molecular cloud associated with RCW 106.

Discovery of four water masers in the Small Magellanic Cloud

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2013
We report the detection of four water masers within the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC): two discovered with the 70-m Tidbinbilla radio telescope, and two discovered with the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA).

Constraining the properties of 1.2-mm dust clumps that contain luminous water masers

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2011
We have conducted a sensitive water maser search with the Australia Telescope Compact Array towards 267 1.2-mm dust clumps presented in the literature. We combine our new observations with previous water maser observations to extend our sample to 294 1.

An unbiased pilot survey for Galactic water masers

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2010
The Australia Telescope Compact Array has been used in a fast surveying mode to study the 22-GHz transition of water in two small sample regions of the southern Galactic plane.
