Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester Encapsulated in Self-Assemble Rice Peptides Nanoparticles: Storage Stability, In Vitro Release, and Their Interaction Mechanisms

open access: yesFoods
Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) is an important active component of propolis with many bioactivities. However, its efficiency and practical application are restricted due to its poor aqueous solubility and storage stability.

The effects of b-cyclodextrin and pH on bifonazole hydrosolubility [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2004
The equlibria of bifonazole in saturated water solution within the pH range 4 to 10 [I = 0.1 mol/dm3 (NaCl); 25 ºC] were studied spectrophotometrically. Based on the equlibrium constants determined in a heterogeneous system, the acidity constant (pKa = 5.

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Aggregation-induced stabilization of pheophorbide, a water-soluble chlorophyll derivative

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition
BackgroundChlorophyll (Chl) is a valuable natural pigment, but its application is limited by poor water solubility and photoinstability. This study focuses on the preparation of pheophorbide (Phide), a water-soluble chlorophyll derivative, and ...
