INFLUENCE OF SOME PROPERTIES CONCERNING WATER STABLE AGGREGATES OF SALINE SOILS
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal, 2017According to literature, aggregate stability of soils is influenced by: particle size and soil texture, soil structure, content of Ca2+ and Mg2+, mineral clay type, soil content of organic matter, soil processing degree. This paper aims to investigate the influence of some physical, microbiological and chemical properties of saline soil concerning ...

Rapid method for the determination of water‐stable aggregates in soils
Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 1956AbstractA description is given of a wet‐sieving method for the determination of the water‐stable aggregates in a soil as an indication of the crumb structure. The method is rapid and convenient and gives results which are reproducible within about 1%.

Particulate Organic Matter and Water‐Stable Aggregation of Soil under Contrasting Management
Soil Science Society of America Journal, 2007Soil organic matter (SOM) is important to soil function. The objectives of this work were to determine the effect of cropping rotation and soil management on SOM, components of SOM, and water‐stable aggregation (WSA) of soil near the surface.

Water Structure: Unstable Aggregations of Stable Clusters: Letters to the Editor
Journal of Macromolecular Science: Part A - Chemistry, 1971Abstract A precise atomic description of a highly stable tetrahedrally hydrogen bonded decameric water cluster containing OH … OH … OH rings demonstrates “cluster aggregation,” a phenomenon postulated in Erlander's structural model of water.

The study on the distribution characters of water-stable aggregates and aggregate-associated C in 32 pairs of virgin and cultivated black soils in Northeast China showed that in virgin soils, the amount of water-stable macroaggregates (>0.25 mm) and their associated C in 0-30 cm layer were higher than those of microaggreagtes (< 0.25 mm).
