Thermal regime of the Danube Delta and the adjacent lakes

open access: yesJournal of Hydrology and Hydromechanics, 2023
The Danube Delta is a unique natural object influenced by natural and human factors. According to the available observation and remote sensing data, the features of the water temperature in the Danube Delta, as well as in nearby lakes and the adjacent ...

Effects of Climate change on temperature and precipitation in the Lake Toba region, Indonesia, based on ERA5-land data with quantile mapping bias correction

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Climate change is a serious problem that can cause global variations in temperature and rainfall patterns. This global variation can affect the water availability of lakes.

Diurnal temperature variation of the river water (2) Observational verification

open access: yesJournal of Japan Society of Hydrology and Water Resources, 1995
In the previous paper, Kondo (1995) has shown a calculation model of the river water temperature. Using the model, the daily variation of the water temperature at a fixed point and the temperature profile along the river can be estimated from routine meteorological parameters. These estimations well simulate the observations.

Surface water temperature observations of large lakes by optimal estimation

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Remote Sensing, 2012
Optimal estimation (OE) and probabilistic cloud screening were developed to provide lake surface water temperature (LSWT) estimates from the series of (advanced) along-track scanning radiometers (ATSRs). Variations in physical properties such as elevation, salinity, and atmospheric conditions are accounted for through the forward modelling of observed ...

Impact of Observed and Controlled Water Intake on Reticulorumen Temperature in Lactating Dairy Cattle [PDF]

open access: yesAnimals, 2018
Dairy precision technologies helps producers monitor individual animals. Reticulorumen temperature boluses are a way to monitor core body temperature; however, factors such as water intake affects reticulorumen temperature. This research determined the effect of natural water intake and a controlled water drench on reticulorumen temperature (RT) in ...

Thermal extraction and recovery performance of a deep coaxial borehole heat exchanger under intermittent operation for building heating

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
Deep coaxial borehole heat exchangers (DCBHEs) exhibit superior thermal performance compared to conventional shallow systems, particularly in cold regions.

Analysis of observation data dynamics and precursor anomalies of digital observation data of the Dehongfapa well

open access: yes地震科学进展
Based on observation data of the water level and water temperature in the Dehongfapa well from 2008 to 2023, we analyzed the characteristics of the dynamic change of observation data, pattern of earth tides, coseismic response, and earthquake precursor ...

Abnormal determination of north-south component of water pipe tiltmeter at Wuzhishan station

open access: yes地震科学进展, 2023
The north-south component of the DSQ water pipe tiltmeter at Wuzhishan station has been tilting southward continuously since May 2017. We eliminate various reasons such as the deformation observation system of the Wuzhishan station, the temperature of ...

Research of the adsorption of tritium by thermally processed clay rocks [PDF]

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2020
The features of tritium adsorption by clay rocks, which mainly consist of clay minerals with high adsorption abilities for tritium oxide (НTO) and super heavy water (T2O), were studied after their thermal treatment at a temperature of 105 and 500 °C. The

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
