Dynamical structure of optical soliton solutions for M−fractional paraxial wave equation by using unified technique

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
This study deliberates the fractional form of the paraxial wave equation, which is used to investigate the self-focusing of optical waves in nonlinear media.

Adult‐Onset Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis Presenting With Subacute Cognitive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 41‐year‐old man diagnosed with adult‐onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). The patient presented with subacute progressive cognitive deficits and a neuropsychological profile indicating predominant frontoparietal dysfunction. MRI showed only mild parietal‐predominant cerebral atrophy.

Epoxy-based broadband antireflection coating for millimeter-wave optics. [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Optics, 2013
We have developed epoxy-based, broadband antireflection coatings for millimeter-wave astrophysics experiments with cryogenic optics. By using multiple-layer coatings where each layer steps in dielectric constant, we achieved low reflection over a wide ...

Neuroinflammation in GAD65 Antibody‐Associated Epilepsy Measured Using [18F]DPA‐714 PET/MRI

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The timing for initiating immunotherapy in patients with glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (GAD65) antibody‐associated epilepsy is a challenge. We used the translocator protein radioligand [18F]DPA‐714 and PET to evaluate brain microglial activation.

Assessment of Skin in Patients With Systemic Sclerosis Using High‐Frequency Ultrasound and Shear Wave Elastography: A Comparative Study With Histology, Molecular, and Clinical Parameters

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Ultrasound (US) has been proposed as a potential tool for assessing skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). However, a large‐scale comparison of US‐based assessment with histologic markers of skin fibrosis has not been reported. We evaluated US‐based skin assessments for their face validity (differentiation between involved SSc and healthy

Scattering of ECRF waves by edge density fluctuations and blobs

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
The scattering of electron cyclotron waves by density blobs embedded in the edge region of a fusion plasma is studied using a full-wave model. The full-wave theory is a generalization of the usual approach of geometric optics ray scattering by blobs ...

Space-time wave packets localized in all dimensions

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Propagation-invariant wave packets confined in space and time can be useful for optical sensing, imaging, and nonlinear and quantum optics. Here the authors demonstrate control over the angular dispersion of optical wave packets in two-transverse ...

Evaluation of the Potential of Laser Shock Peening Compared with Cold Expansion for Improving Fatigue Resistance of Riveted Lap Joints of Aerospace Grade 7175 Al Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

Ray and wave dynamics in a static FRW spacetime with conical singularity

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
In this paper, we investigate a (1+3)-dimensional static Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) space-time, pierced by a cosmic string. Our analysis begins with a detail study of the geodesic motion of photon rays in this curved background, focusing on the ...
