Full wave analysis of a superconducting stripline with large width-to-separation ratio
2009 IEEE Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD), 2009This paper presents a full-wave analysis on the wave propagating in a superconducting stripline with a large width-to-separation ratio. A set of transcendental equation is derived, by matching the ratio of the tangential electric and magnetic fields, respectively, with the surface impedance of the strip.

The applicability of principal component analysis to the separation of multiple plane-wave signals
Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, 1975abstract It is shown that principal component analysis (eigenvector-eigenvalue decomposition of array spectral matrices) can be used for the approximate separation of superposed plane-wave signals only if at least one of the following conditions is satisfied: Application of the method for such ...

Challenges in the separation and analysis of scattered waves in angle-beam wavefield data
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2015The measurement of ultrasonic signals on a 2-D rectilinear grid resulting from a fixed source, referred to as wavefield imaging, is a powerful tool for visualizing wave propagation and scattering. Wavefield imaging provides a more complete picture of wave propagation than conventional single-point measurements, but creates more challenges for analysis.

Carotid Pressure Wave Separation Analysis Using Multi-Rayleigh Flow Model
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical EngineeringWave separation analysis (WSA) performed at the common carotid artery (CCA) reveals insights into cerebral vascular pathophysiology; however, the conventional WSA (WSAREF) necessitates the availability of both pressure and flow waveforms measured from the same arterial site.We propose a method for performing WSA at CCA using a single pulse waveform ...

Analysis and Separation of Surface and Body Waves in Onshore-seismic Dual Fields
Proceedings, 2013Dual-field seismic data are achieved recording particle velocity and pressure/stress at a same receiver-device location. The dual-field method makes it possible to separate different components of the propagating wavefields activated by a single source.

Independent component analysis based source separation in physiological strain waves
IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium, 2004, 2005Physiological cyclic strain waves in tissue are caused by the pulsation of blood flow in arterial vasculature due to cardiac activity and modulation of blood volume in venous vasculature due to respiration. We applied independent component analysis ( ICA) to extract the sources of the strain wave modeled as three linear mixtures: 1) cardiac source; 2 ...

Group Density Analysis of Molecular Wave Functions into Separated Elements
1975A group density analysis method is presented and its capability of revealing well defined subsystems (e.g. bonds) in a larger system (e.g. molecule) is discussed on the basis of the principles of Quantum Mechanics. The connection with usual concepts introduced in molecular quantum mechanical calculations (polarization, dispersion and charges transfer ...

Design and analysis of wave shaped separation device of potato-soil for potato harvester
2018 Detroit, Michigan July 29 - August 1, 2018, 2018In order to improve the separation efficiency of potato soil, reduce bruising rate and damage rate of potatoes, the fixed wave shaped separation device and the wave shaped automatic adjusting separation device were designed by the realization of constant and adjustable wave amplitude, which were based on the design idea of wave shaped separation device.

The analysis of the densities of s-wave neutron resonances separated with respect to spin
Physics of Atomic Nuclei, 2003The density ratio of s-wave neutron resonances z=ρ(J1)/ρ(J2) was analyzed on the basis of the experimental data for 22 atomic nuclei and the Gilbert-Cameron formula for ρ(J). Here, J1=Ix—1/2 and J2=Ix+1/2, where Ix denotes the spin of the target nucleus in the ground state. Our aim was to verify whether the factor η(Ix), as a multiplier, can be applied
