A Compact Spin‐Coated Graphene UWB Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection
A compact, spin‐coated graphene ultra‐wideband patch antenna designed for breast tumor detection, capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign tumors. This innovative antenna can serve as an effective initial screening tool, particularly in resource‐limited settings such as rural areas, where access to advanced medical equipment like MRI and ...

Wave propagation in flexible tubes [PDF]
This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and awarded by Brunel University.Wave dissipation was previously investigated intensively in the frequency domain, in which the dissipation of waves is described as attenuation of pressure ...

Computational and experimental investigation into aerodynamic interference between slender bodies in supersonic flow [PDF]
Aerodynamic interference can occur between high-speed bodies when in close proximity. A complex flowfield develops where shock and expansion waves from a generator body impinge upon the adjacent receiver body and modify its aerodynamic characteristics.

A flexure‐based variable stiffness structure is developed by integrating phase‐change modulation and adhesive interfacial locking of gallium. The design enables a wide stiffness variability, transitioning from soft, flexible behavior to rigid, load‐supporting performance.

Unsteadiness in shock-wave/boundary layer interactions [PDF]
The need for better understanding of the low-frequency unsteadiness observed in shockwave/turbulent boundary layer interactions has been driving research in this area forseveral decades.

On secondary instability of a transitional separation bubble [PDF]
It is well established in the natural transition of an attached boundary layer that the transition process starts with a two–dimensional primary instability (Tollmien–Schlichting wave, denoted as TS wave), followed by usually a three-dimensional ...

Fourth order nonlinear evolution equations, which are a good starting point for the study of nonlinear water waves, are derived for deep water surface capillary gravity waves in the presence of second waves in which air is blowing over water.

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

Investigation of computational techniques for the prediction of supersonic dynamic flows [PDF]
A computational investigation was undertaken to examine techniques for predicting supersonic dynamic flows, involving unsteadiness over fixed and moving surfaces. The fixed geometries examined were cylinder-flares and compression ramps, and the moving

Wave separation, wave intensity, the reservoir-wave concept, and the instantaneous wave-free ratio presumptions and principles [PDF]
Wave separation analysis and wave intensity analysis (WIA) use (aortic) pressure and flow to separate them in their forward and backward (reflected) waves.
