A linear acoustic model for intake wave dynamics in IC engines [PDF]
In this paper, a linear acoustic model is described that has proven useful in obtaining a better understanding of the nature of acoustic wave dynamics in the intake system of an internal combustion (IC) engine.

Effects of floating wave barriers on wave-induced forces exerted to offshore-jacket structure [PDF]
The main objective of the present research was investigating the effects of a floating wave barrier installed in front of an offshore jacket structure on the wave height, base shear, and overturning moment.

rf breakdown tests of mm-wave metallic accelerating structures
We are exploring the physics and frequency-scaling of vacuum rf breakdowns at sub-THz frequencies. We present the experimental results of rf tests performed in metallic mm-wave accelerating structures.

Physical modelling of the effect on the wave field of the WaveCat wave energy converter [PDF]
The WaveCat is a moored Wave Energy Converter design which uses wave overtopping discharge into a variable v-shaped hull, to generate electricity through low head turbines.

Gravitational waves: A test for modified gravity [PDF]
In a modified gravity theory, the propagation equation of gravitational waves will be presented in a non-standard way. Therefore this tenor mode perturbation of time-space, as a complement to the scalar mode perturbation, provides a unique character distinguishing modified gravity from general relativity.

Power Generation Tests in Regular Waves on Efficiency of a Fixed OWC-Type Wave Energy Converter [PDF]
A fixed oscillating water column (OWC)-type wave energy converter is composed of an air chamber, an air turbine and a generator. In this unit, the energy conversion process is divided into two main steps, the primary conversion in an air chamber and the ...

WAVE PROPAGATION THROUGH SOILS IN CENTRIFUGE TESTING [PDF]
Wave propagation phenomena in soils can be experimentally simulated using centrifuge scale models. An original excitation device (drop-ball arrangement) is proposed to generate short wave trains. Wave reflections on model boundaries are taken into account and removed by homomorphic filtering. Propagation is investigated through dispersion laws.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
