Obstacle‐Immune Microwave Wireless Power Transfer System Based on Amplitude‐Dependent Caustic Metasurface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This paper innovatively proposes an advanced microwave wireless power transfer (MWPT) system based on the amplitude‐dependent caustic metasurface generating the circular Airy beam. The proposed MWPT system will advance the research and development of circular Airy beams in the radio frequency domain.

Fast linearized coronagraph optimizer (FALCO) I: a software toolbox for rapid coronagraphic design and wavefront correction

open access: yesAstronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation, 2018
The Fast Linearized Coronagraph Optimizer (FALCO) is an open-source toolbox of routines for coronagraphic focal plane wavefront correction. The goal of FALCO is to provide a free, modular framework for the simulation or testbed operation of several ...

Reconstructing Focal Topological Curves through Vortex Spots from Multifocal Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multichannel multifocal silicon metasurfaces are built to reconstruct focal topological curves using an array of vortex spots, and upconverted fluorescence is used to directly visualize the morphology of the near‐infrared focal fields. Abstract Structured light plays an important role in modern photonics.

Varifocal Meta‐Lens for Multifunctional Focusing and Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A varifocal meta‐lens enables dynamic switching between conventional focusing and non‐diffracting autofocusing beams, relying on a phase design with dual interpretations in both real space and the spatial frequency domain. By integrating a Moiré‐based tuning mechanism, the system achieves continuous focal length control in both modes.

Complex wavefront reconstruction with single-pixel detector

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2019
Wavefront sensing is an essential tool in wide research areas. However, the auxiliary reference beam and the pixel-array detector are indispensable in most of the wavefront sensing schemes.

The clock and wavefront model revisited

open access: yesJournal of Theoretical Biology, 2011
The currently accepted interpretation of the clock and wavefront model of somitogenesis is that a posteriorly moving molecular gradient sequentially slows the rate of clock oscillations, resulting in a spatial readout of temporal oscillations. However, while molecular components of the clocks and wavefronts have now been identified in the pre-somitic ...

Physical Interpretation of Diffractive Optical Networks for High‐Dimensional Vortex Mode Sorting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The first layer‐resolved physical interpretation of diffractive optical networks trained for high‐dimensional vortex mode sorting is presented, revealing transformation division phenomena linked to saturated performance as layer numbers increase. This analysis reconciles physical theorems with network operations, enabling physics‐driven design of ...

Perspective: Wavefront shaping techniques for controlling multiple light scattering in biological tissues: Towardin vivoapplications

open access: yesAPL Photonics, 2018
Multiple light scattering has been regarded as a barrier in imaging through complex media such as biological tissues. Owing to recent advances in wavefront shaping techniques, optical imaging through intact biological tissues without invasive procedures ...
